Gurdwara Baba Budda Sahib in Subhas Nagar, Delhi, is named in honor of Baba Buddha (1506–1631), a venerated figure of early Sikhism who served as the first Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib when the Adi Granth was installed there in 1604. Baba Buddha performed the coronation ceremonies for five successive Sikh Gurus — from Guru Angad to Guru Hargobind — and was named "Buddha" (wise elder) by Guru Nanak himself after the young boy posed remarkably insightful questions about life and death. This Gurdwara in Delhi preserves his memory and serves as a place of community worship and spiritual learning.
