Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Sahib (Shrine of the Martyrs) in Delhi commemorates the Sikhs who were killed by the Mughal authorities during the 18th century, with tradition holding that forty cartloads of heads of martyred Sikhs were cremated at this site. Located about 300 meters south of the main Sis Ganj Sahib shrine, it serves as a solemn reminder of the persecution faced by the Sikh community under Mughal rule and the supreme sacrifices made to preserve the faith. The Gurdwara stands as one of nine historic Sikh shrines in Delhi, most of which were originally constructed by Sikh General Baghel Singh during his conquest of the city in 1783.
