Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) is the holiest shrine in Sikhism, located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. Originally built by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in 1604, the temple was reconstructed in marble and gold by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 19th century. The Gurdwara serves free langar to over 100,000 visitors daily and is the spiritual center of the Sikh faith.
