Life

Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the sixth Guru, wore two swords for miri (temporal) and piri (spiritual) authority. He built the Akal Takht facing Harmandir Sahib.

Bandi Chhor Divas remembers his release from Gwalior Fort and the freeing of other prisoners. Sikhs mark it on the same night as Diwali.
