Guru Ram Das Ji, the fourth Guru, founded the city of Amritsar. The sarovar and later Harmandir Sahib grew from that settlement.

Guru Ram Das Ji, the fourth Guru, founded the city of Amritsar. The sarovar and later Harmandir Sahib grew from that settlement.

He composed the four Lavan recited at every Anand Karaj. Those hymns sit in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (ang 773).
