About
Baba Sher Singh Gurdwara in Amritsar is named in the tradition of honoring distinguished Sikh spiritual and community leaders who carried the name "Sher Singh" (Lion Prince), a name that evokes the martial valor central to Khalsa identity. The tradition of local gurdwaras named after respected community figures reflects the Sikh principle that any devoted Sikh can serve as a spiritual guide, and that the true Guru resides in the Guru Granth Sahib rather than in any individual. This Gurdwara provides daily worship services and langar in the sacred city of Amritsar.
