About
Gurdwara Sehra Sahib in Bassi, Himachal Pradesh, is part of the cluster of historic gurdwaras near Guru Ka Lahore in Bilaspur district. The 'sehra' (wedding garland) in its name connects it to the marriage celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh, as the broader Guru Ka Lahore complex commemorates the Guru's wedding, which took place in June 1677 at a specially created settlement because political conditions made it unsafe to travel to Lahore.
