About
Gurdwara Tikana Sahib in Delhi takes its name from "Tikana" meaning resting place or station, a term used in Sikh tradition for sites where the Gurus or their emissaries paused during their travels. Delhi was an important station on the journeys of several Sikh Gurus — Guru Nanak visited in 1505, Guru Hargobind and Guru Har Rai had connections to the city, and Guru Tegh Bahadur was martyred here in 1675. This Gurdwara serves as a spiritual resting place for the faithful, continuing the tradition of providing a welcoming space for worship, langar, and community gathering.
