About

Founded by Yogi Bhajan in 1970, Hacienda de Guru Ram Das in Espanola, New Mexico is recognized as the Mother Ashram of Sikh Dharma in the Western hemisphere. The community of approximately 350 residents purchased the ranch property in 1975 as a Sikh Dharma training center. The ashram offers morning sadhana, evening meditation, Gurdwara services, langar, Kundalini yoga classes, and welcomes spiritual seekers of all faiths.
