About
Nanak Sir in Delhi draws its name from Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, whose name is synonymous with spiritual enlightenment, universal compassion, and the revolutionary rejection of caste and religious divisions. Guru Nanak's three foundational principles — nam japna (meditation on the divine Name), kirat karni (earning an honest living), and vand chakna (sharing with others) — continue to guide Sikh practice at every Gurdwara. This place of worship serves the local community in Delhi, the city where Guru Nanak himself once walked and served water to thirsty travelers.
