Mobile App Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID email.
Location Data: The “Nearby” feature uses your device location (with your permission) to find gurdwaras near you. Location data is not stored on our servers.
Profile Information: If you create a matrimonial profile, the information you provide (name, age, photos, etc.) is stored on our servers and visible to other subscribed members.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the app's core features (directory, search, nearby, hukamnama)
- To manage your account and subscriptions
- To send push notifications (daily Hukamnama, event reminders) if you opt in
- To facilitate matrimonial matching and messaging
- To process donations and prayer bookings via Stripe
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Supabase: Authentication and database hosting
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@gurdwaras.com.
5. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@gurdwaras.com.
6. Push Notifications
Push notifications are optional. You can enable or disable them in your device settings at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
