ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥
ein bidh ih man hariaa hoi ||
In this way, this mind is rejuvenated.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਢੈ ਧੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har har naam japai dhin raatee gurmukh haumai kaddai dhoi ||1|| rahaau ||
Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, day and night, egotism is removed and washed away from the Gurmukhs. ||1||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਾਏ ॥
satigur baanee sabadh sunaae ||
The True Guru speaks the Bani of the Word, and the Shabad, the Word of God.
ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ॥੨॥
eih jag hariaa satigur bhaae ||2||
This world blossoms forth in its greenery, through the love of the True Guru. ||2||
ਫਲ ਫੂਲ ਲਾਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਆਪੇ ਲਾਏ ॥
fal fool laage jaa(n) aape laae ||
The mortal blossoms forth in flower and fruit, when the Lord Himself so wills.
ਮੂਲਿ ਲਗੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥
mool lagai taa(n) satigur paae ||3||
He is attached to the Lord, the Primal Root of all, when he finds the True Guru. ||3||
ਆਪਿ ਬਸੰਤੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਸਭੁ ਵਾੜੀ ॥
aap basa(n)t jagat sabh vaaRee ||
The Lord Himself is the season of spring; the whole world is His Garden.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਰਾਲੀ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੭॥
naanak poorai bhaag bhagat niraalee ||4||5||17||
O Nanak, this most unique devotional worship comes only by perfect destiny. ||4||5||17||

ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
gur kee baanee viTahu vaariaa bhaiee gur sabadh viTahu bal jaiee ||
I am a sacrifice to the Word of the Guru's Bani, O Siblings of Destiny. I am devoted and dedicated to the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਦ ਅਪਣਾ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥
gur saalaahee sadh apanaa bhaiee gur charanee chit laiee ||1||
I praise my Guru forever, O Siblings of Destiny. I focus my consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
mere man raam naam chit lai ||
O my mind, focus your consciousness on the Lord's Name.
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੈ ਇਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man tan teraa hariaa hovai ik har naamaa fal pai ||1|| rahaau ||
Your mind and body shall blossom forth in lush greenery, and you shall obtain the fruit of the Name of the One Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਸੇ ਉਬਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਆਇ ॥
gur raakhe se ubare bhaiee har ras a(n)mrit peeaai ||
Those who are protected by the Guru are saved, O Siblings of Destiny. They drink in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's sublime essence.
ਵਿਚਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਉਠਿ ਗਇਆ ਭਾਈ ਸੁਖੁ ਵੁਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥
vichahu haumai dhukh uTh giaa bhaiee sukh vuThaa man aai ||2||
The pain of egotism within is eradicated and banished, O Siblings of Destiny, and peace comes to dwell in their minds. ||2||
ਧੁਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਿਨੑਾ ਨੋ ਬਖਸਿਓਨੁ ਭਾਈ ਸਬਦੇ ਲਇਅਨੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
dhur aape jin(h)aa no bakhasion bhaiee sabadhe lian milai ||
Those whom the Primal Lord Himself forgives, O Siblings of Destiny, are united with the Word of the Shabad.
ਧੂੜਿ ਤਿਨੑਾ ਕੀ ਅਘੁਲੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੩॥
dhooR tin(h)aa kee aghuleeaai bhaiee satasa(n)gat mel milai ||3||
The dust of their feet brings emancipation; in the company of Sadh Sangat, the True Congregation, we are united with the Lord. ||3||
ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ਕਰੇ ਆਪਿ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿਆ ਕੀਆ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
aap karaae kare aap bhaiee jin hariaa keeaa sabh koi ||
He Himself does, and causes all to be done, O Siblings of Destiny; He makes everything blossom forth in green abundance.
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਦ ਵਸੈ ਭਾਈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੮॥੧੨॥੧੮॥੩੦॥
naanak man tan sukh sadh vasai bhaiee sabadh milaavaa hoi ||4||1||18||12||18||30||
O Nanak, peace fills their minds and bodies forever, O Siblings of Destiny; they are united with the Shabad. ||4||1||18||12||18||30||

ਜਿਉ ਪਸਰੀ ਸੂਰਜ ਕਿਰਣਿ ਜੋਤਿ ॥

Just as the light of the sun's rays spread out,
ਤਿਉ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਮਈਆ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ॥੧॥
tiau ghaT ghaT ramieeaa ot pot ||1||
the Lord permeates each and every heart, through and through. ||1||
ਏਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਥਾਇ ॥
eko har raviaa srab thai ||
The One Lord is permeating and pervading all places.
ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur sabadhee mileeaai meree mai ||1|| rahaau ||
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we merge with Him, O my mother. ||1||Pause||
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥
ghaT ghaT a(n)tar eko har soi ||
The One Lord is deep within each and every heart.
ਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਇਕੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
gur miliaai ik pragaT hoi ||2||
Meeting with the Guru, the One Lord becomes manifest, radiating forth. ||2||
ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
eko ek rahiaa bharapoor ||
The One and Only Lord is present and prevailing everywhere.
ਸਾਕਤ ਨਰ ਲੋਭੀ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੩॥
saakat nar lobhee jaaneh dhoor ||3||
The greedy, faithless cynic thinks that God is far away. ||3||
ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਲੋਇ ॥
eko ek varatai har loi ||
The One and Only Lord permeates and pervades the world.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੋੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥
naanak har ekuo kare su hoi ||4||1||
O Nanak, whatever the One Lord does comes to pass. ||4||1||
ਬਸੰਤੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

Basant, Fourth Mehla:
ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਦੁਇ ਸਦੇ ਪਏ ॥
rain dhinas dhui sadhe pe ||
Day and night, the two calls are sent out.
ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਰਖਿ ਲਏ ॥੧॥
man har simarahu a(n)t sadhaa rakh le ||1||
O mortal, meditate in remembrance on the Lord, who protects you forever, and saves you in the end. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
har har chet sadhaa man mere ||
Concentrate forever on the Lord, Har, Har, O my mind.
ਸਭੁ ਆਲਸੁ ਦੂਖ ਭੰਜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sabh aalas dhookh bha(n)j prabh paiaa gurmat gaavahu gun prabh kere ||1|| rahaau ||
God the Destroyer of all depression and suffering is found, through the Guru's Teachings, singing the Glorious Praises of God. ||1||Pause||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੁਏ ॥
manmukh fir fir haumai mue ||
The self-willed manmukhs die of their egotism, over and over again.
