ਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਸਿ ॥
se dhanava(n)t jin har prabh raas ||
They alone are rich, who have the Wealth of the Lord God.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਾਸਿ ॥
kaam karodh gur sabadh naas ||
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, sexual desire and anger are eradicated.
ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
bhai binase nirabhai padh paiaa ||
Their fear is dispelled, and they attain the state of fearlessness.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
gur mil naanak khasam dhiaaiaa ||2||
Meeting with the Guru, Nanak meditates on his Lord and Master. ||2||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਓ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥
saadhasa(n)gat prabh keeo nivaas ||
God dwells in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਹੋਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸ ॥
har jap jap hoiee pooran aas ||
Chanting and meditating on the Lord, one's hopes are fulfilled.
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ॥
jal thal maheeal rav rahiaa ||
God permeates and pervades the water, the land and the sky.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਨਕਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ॥੩॥
gur mil naanak har har kahiaa ||3||
Meeting with the Guru, Nanak chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
ਅਸਟ ਸਿਧਿ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਏਹ ॥ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹ ॥
asaT sidh nav nidh eh || karam paraapat jis naam dheh ||
The eight miraculous spiritual powers and the nine treasures are contained in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. This is bestowed when God grants His Grace.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ॥
prabh jap jap jeeveh tere dhaas ||
Your slaves, O God, live by chanting and meditating on Your Name.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ॥੪॥੧੩॥
gur mil naanak kamal pragaas ||4||13||
O Nanak, the heart-lotus of the Gurmukh blossoms forth. ||4||13||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਸਗਲ ਇਛਾ ਜਪਿ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ ॥
sagal ichhaa jap pu(n)neeaa ||
Meditating on the Lord, all desires are fulfilled,
ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਮੇਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥੧॥
prabh mele chiree vichhu(n)niaa ||1||
and the mortal is re-united with God, after having been separated for so long. ||1||
ਤੁਮ ਰਵਹੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੈ ਰਵਣ ਜੋਗੁ ॥
tum ravahu gobi(n)dhai ravan jog ||
Meditate on the Lord of the Universe, who is worthy of meditation.
ਜਿਤੁ ਰਵਿਐ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਭੋਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jit raviaai sukh sahaj bhog ||1|| rahaau ||
Meditating on Him, enjoy celestial peace and poise. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿਆ ॥
kar kirapaa nadhar nihaaliaa ||
Bestowing His Mercy, He blesses us with His Glance of Grace.
ਅਪਣਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਸਮੑਾਲਿਆ ॥੨॥
apanaa dhaas aap sam(h)aaliaa ||2||
God Himself takes care of His slave. ||2||
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਰਸਿ ਬਨੀ ॥
sej suhaavee ras banee ||
My bed has been beautified by His Love.
ਆਇ ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਖ ਧਨੀ ॥੩॥
aai mile prabh sukh dhanee ||3||
God, the Giver of Peace, has come to meet me. ||3||
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਵਗਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
meraa gun avagan na beechaariaa ||
He does not consider my merits and demerits.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਚਰਣ ਪੂਜਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੪॥
prabh naanak charan poojaariaa ||4||1||14||
Nanak worships at the Feet of God. ||4||1||14||

ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਗਾਇ ਗੁਨਾ ॥
kilabikh binase gai gunaa ||
The sins are erased, singing the Glories of God;
ਅਨਦਿਨ ਉਪਜੀ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਾ ॥੧॥
anadhin upajee sahaj dhunaa ||1||
night and day, celestial joy wells up. ||1||
ਮਨੁ ਮਉਲਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
man maulio har charan sa(n)g ||
My mind has blossomed forth, by the touch of the Lord's Feet.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨ ਭੇਟੇ ਨਿਤ ਰਾਤੌ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kar kirapaa saadhoo jan bheTe nit raatau har naam ra(n)g ||1|| rahaau ||
By His Grace, He has led me to meet the Holy men, the humble servants of the Lord. I remain continually imbued with the love of the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਗੋੁਪਾਲ ॥
kar kirapaa pragaTe guopaal ||
In His Mercy, the Lord of the World has revealed Himself to me.
ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੨॥
laR lai udhaare dheen dhiaal ||2||
The Lord, Merciful to the meek, has attached me to the hem of His robe and saved me. ||2||
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਾਧ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
eih man hoaa saadh dhoor ||
This mind has become the dust of the Holy;
ਨਿਤ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥੩॥
nit dhekhai suaamee hajoor ||3||
I behold my Lord and Master, continually, ever-present. ||3||
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਗਈ ॥
kaam karodh tirasanaa giee ||
Sexual desire, anger and desire have vanished.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੫॥
naanak prabh kirapaa bhiee ||4||2||15||
O Nanak, God has become kind to me. ||4||2||15||

ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਿ ॥
rog miTaae prabhoo aap ||
God Himself has cured the disease.
ਬਾਲਕ ਰਾਖੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਰ ਥਾਪਿ ॥੧॥
baalak raakhe apane kar thaap ||1||
He laid on His Hands, and protected His child. ||1||
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਸਦ ਬਸੰਤੁ ॥
saa(n)t sahaj gireh sadh basa(n)t ||
Celestial peace and tranquility fill my home forever, in this springtime of the soul.
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਣੀ ਆਏ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਰੂਪ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur poore kee saranee aae kaliaan roop jap har har ma(n)t ||1|| rahaau ||
I have sought the Sanctuary of the Perfect Guru; I chant the Mantra of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the Embodiment of emancipation. ||1||Pause||
ਸੋਗ ਸੰਤਾਪ ਕਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ॥
sog sa(n)taap kaTe prabh aap ||
God Himself has dispelled my sorrow and suffering.
ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੨॥
gur apune kau nit nit jaap ||2||
I meditate continually, continuously, on my Guru. ||2||
ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਪੇ ਨਾਉ ॥
jo jan teraa jape naau ||
That humble being who chants Your Name,
ਸਭਿ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥੩॥
sabh fal paae nihachal gun gaau ||3||
obtains all fruits and rewards; singing the Glories of God, he becomes steady and stable. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਾ ਭਲੀ ਰੀਤਿ ॥
naanak bhagataa bhalee reet ||
O Nanak, the way of the devotees is good.
ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਜਪਦੇ ਨੀਤ ਨੀਤਿ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੬॥
sukhadhaataa japadhe neet neet ||4||3||16||
They meditate continually, continuously, on the Lord, the Giver of peace. ||4||3||16||

ਹੁਕਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਕੀਨੑੇ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥
hukam kar keen(h)e nihaal ||
By His Will, He makes us happy.
ਅਪਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਭਇਆ ਦਇਆਲੁ ॥੧॥
apane sevak kau bhiaa dhiaal ||1||
He shows Mercy to His servant. ||1||
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਆ ॥
gur poorai sabh pooraa keeaa ||
The Perfect Guru makes everything perfect.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
a(n)mirat naam ridh meh dheeaa ||1|| rahaau ||
He implants the Amrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, in the heart. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਮੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ॥
karam dharam meraa kachh na beechaario ||
He does not consider the karma of my actions, or my Dharma, my spiritual practice.
