ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਲਾਲਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਸਰਬਾਂਗੈ ॥
gun nidhaan manmohan laalan sukhadhaiee sarabaa(n)gai ||
The Treasure of Virtue, the Enticer of the mind, my Beloved is the Giver of peace to all.
ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਹਿ ਪਠਾਇਓ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸਖਾ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥੨॥੫॥੨੮॥
gur naanak prabh paeh paThaio milahu sakhaa gal laagai ||2||5||28||
Guru Nanak has led me to You, O God. Join with me, O my Best Friend, and hold me close in Your Embrace. ||2||5||28||
ਸਾਰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
saarag mahalaa panjavaa ||
Saarang, Fifth Mehla:
ਅਬ ਮੋਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਾਂ ॥
ab moro Thaakur siau man maanaa(n) ||
Now my mind is pleased and appeased by my Lord and Master.
ਸਾਧ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਇਹੁ ਛੇਦਿਓ ਦੁਸਟੁ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saadh kirapaal dhiaal bhe hai ih chhedhio dhusaT bigaanaa ||1|| rahaau ||
The Holy Saint has become kind and compassionate to me, and has destroyed this demon of duality. ||1||Pause||
ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸਿਆਨੇ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਸੁਘਰ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ॥
tum hee su(n)dhar tumeh siaane tum hee sughar sujaanaa ||
You are so beautiful, and You are so wise; You are elegant and all-knowing.
ਸਗਲ ਜੋਗ ਅਰੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੧॥
sagal jog ar giaan dhiaan ik nimakh na keemat jaanaa(n) ||1||
All the Yogis, spiritual teachers and meditators do not know even a bit of Your value. ||1||
ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਨਾਇਕ ਤੁਮੑਹਿ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨਾ ॥
tum hee naik tum(h)h chhatrapat tum poor rahe bhagavaanaa ||
You are the Master, You are the Lord under the royal canopy; You are the perfectly pervading Lord God.
ਪਾਵਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾਂ ॥੨॥੬॥੨੯॥
paavau dhaan sa(n)t sevaa har naanak sadh kurabaanaa(n) ||2||6||29||
Please bless me with the gift of service to the Saints; O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Lord. ||2||6||29||

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
merai man cheet aae pria ra(n)gaa ||
The Love of my Beloved comes into my conscious mind.
ਬਿਸਰਿਓ ਧੰਧੁ ਬੰਧੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੋ ਰਜਨਿ ਸਬਾਈ ਜੰਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bisario dha(n)dh ba(n)dh maiaa ko rajan sabaiee ja(n)gaa ||1|| rahaau ||
I have forgotten the entangling affairs of Maya, and I spend my life-night fighting with evil. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਤਸੰਗਾ ॥
har sevau har ridhai basaavau har paiaa satasa(n)gaa ||
I serve the Lord; the Lord abides within my heart. I have found my Lord in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation.
ਐਸੋ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਮਨੋਹਰੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਮੁਖ ਮੰਗਾ ॥੧॥
aaiso milio manohar preetam sukh paae mukh ma(n)gaa ||1||
So I have met with my enticingly beautiful Beloved; I have obtained the peace which I asked for. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਅਪਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਬਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਭੋਗਉ ਭੋਗ ਨਿਸੰਗਾ ॥
priau apanaa gur bas kar dheenaa bhogau bhog nisa(n)gaa ||
The Guru has brought my Beloved under my control, and I enjoy Him with unrestrained pleasure.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਉ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਾਠੰਗਾ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੦॥
nirabhau bhe naanak bhau miTiaa har paio paaTha(n)gaa ||2||7||30||
I have become fearless; O Nanak, my fears have been eradicated. Chanting the Word, I have found the Lord. ||2||7||30||

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥
har jeeau ke dharasan kau kurabaanee ||
I am a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of my Dear Lord.
ਬਚਨ ਨਾਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ੍ਰਵਨਹੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bachan naadh mere sravanahu poore dhehaa pria a(n)k samaanee ||1|| rahaau ||
The Naad, the Sound-current of His Word fills my ears; my body has settled gently into the Lap of my Beloved. ||1||Pause||
ਛੂਟਰਿ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਈ ਸੋੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਨੀ ॥
chhooTar te gur keeiee suohaagan har paio sughaR sujaanee ||
I was a discarded bride, and the Guru has made me a happy soul-bride. I have found the Elegant and All-knowing Lord.
ਜਿਹ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਸਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵਤ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਬਾਸਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
jeh ghar meh baisan nahee paavat so thaan milio baasaanee ||1||
That home, in which I was not even allowed to sit - I have found that place in which I can dwell. ||1||
ਉਨੑ ਕੈ ਬਸਿ ਆਇਓ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਛਲੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਆਨ ਸੰਤਾਨੀ ॥
aun(h) kai bas aaio bhagat bachhal jin raakhee aan sa(n)taanee ||
God, the Love of His devotees, has come under the control of those who protect the honor of His Saints.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਲੋੁਕਾਨੀ ॥੨॥੮॥੩੧॥
kahu naanak har sa(n)g man maaniaa sabh chookee kaan luokaanee ||2||8||31||
Says Nanak, my mid is pleased and appeased with the Lord, and my subservience to other people has come to an end. ||2||8||31||

ਅਬ ਮੇਰੋ ਪੰਚਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਗੁ ਤੂਟਾ ॥
ab mero pa(n)chaa te sa(n)g tooTaa ||
Now my association with the five thieves has come to an end.
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਭਏ ਮਨਿ ਆਨਦ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਛੂਟਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dharasan dhekh bhe man aanadh gur kirapaa te chhooTaa ||1|| rahaau ||
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, my mind is in ecstasy; by Guru's Grace, I am released. ||1||Pause||
ਬਿਖਮ ਥਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਹੁ ਧਰੀਆ ਅਨਿਕ ਰਾਖ ਸੂਰੂਟਾ ॥
bikham thaan bahut bahu dhareeaa anik raakh soorooTaa ||
The impregnable place is guarded by countless ramparts and warriors.
ਬਿਖਮ ਗਾਰ੍ਹ ਕਰੁ ਪਹੁਚੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਸਾਨਥ ਭਏ ਲੂਟਾ ॥੧॥
bikham gaarh kar pahuchai naahee sa(n)t saanath bhe looTaa ||1||
This impregnable fortress cannot be touched, but with the assistance of the Saints, I have entered and robbed it. ||1||
ਬਹੁਤੁ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਮੇਰੈ ਪਾਲੈ ਪਰਿਆ ਅਮੋਲ ਲਾਲ ਆਖੂਟਾ ॥
bahut khajaane merai paalai pariaa amol laal aakhooTaa ||
I have found such a great treasure, a priceless, inexhaustible supply of jewels.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਉ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਘੂਟਾ ॥੨॥੯॥੩੨॥
jan naanak prabh kirapaa dhaaree tau man meh har ras ghooTaa ||2||9||32||
O servant Nanak, when God showered His Mercy on me, my mind drank in the sublime essence of the Lord. ||2||9||32||

ਅਬ ਮੇਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
ab mero Thaakur siau man leenaa ||
Now my mind is absorbed in my Lord and Master.
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਦਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦੀਆ ਉਰਝਾਇਓ ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਮੀਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
praan dhaan gur poorai dheeaa urajhaio jiau jal meenaa ||1|| rahaau ||
The Perfect Guru has blessed me with the gift of the breath of life. I am involved with the Lord, like the fish with the water. ||1||Pause||
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਇਹ ਅਰਪਿ ਸਗਲ ਦਾਨੁ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
kaam karodh lobh madh matasar ieh arap sagal dhaan keenaa ||
I have cast out sexual desire, anger, greed, egotism and envy; I have offered all this as a gift.
ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਤਉ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨਾ ॥੧॥
ma(n)tr dhiraRai har aaukhadh gur dheeo tau milio sagal prabeenaa ||1||
The Guru has implanted the medicine of the Lord's Mantra within me, and I have met with the All-knowing Lord God. ||1||
ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਹਉ ਖੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
girahu teraa too Thaakur meraa gur hau khoiee prabh dheenaa ||
My household belongs to You, O my Lord and Master; the Guru has blessed me with God, and rid me of egotism.
