ਅਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਿ ਕਸਾਈਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਖੰਨਿੑ ॥
akhee prem kasaieeaa har har naam pikha(n)ni(h) ||
The eyes which are attracted by the Lord's Love behold the Lord through the Name of the Lord.
ਜੇ ਕਰਿ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਢਿ ਦਿਚੰਨਿੑ ॥੨॥
je kar dhoojaa dhekhadhe jan naanak kadd dhicha(n)ni(h) ||2||
If they gaze upon something else, O servant Nanak, they ought to be gouged out. ||2||

Pauree:
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਨੋ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
jal thal maheeal poorano apara(n)par soiee ||
The Infinite Lord totally permeates the water, the land and the sky.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਦਾ ਜੋ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਈ ॥
jeea ja(n)t pratipaaladhaa jo kare su hoiee ||
He cherishes and sustains all beings and creatures; whatever He does comes to pass.
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਮੀਤ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
maat pitaa sut bhraat meet tis bin nahee koiee ||
Without Him, we have no mother, father, children, sibling or friend.
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਪਿਅਹੁ ਜਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
ghaT ghaT a(n)tar rav rahiaa japiahu jan koiee ||
He is permeating and pervading deep within each and every heart; let everyone meditate on Him.
ਸਗਲ ਜਪਹੁ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗੁਨ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਸਭ ਲੋਈ ॥੧੩॥
sagal japahu gopaal gun paragaT sabh loiee ||13||
Let all chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the World, who is manifest all over the world. ||13||

Shalok, Fourth Mehla:
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਿ ਸਜਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਇਆ ਰੰਗੁ ॥
gurmukh mile s sajanaa har prabh paiaa ra(n)g ||
Those Gurmukhs who meet as friends are blessed with the Lord God's Love.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂ ਲੁਡਿ ਲੁਡਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਵੰਞੁ ॥੧॥
jan naanak naam salaeh too ludd ludd dharageh va(n)n(j) ||1||
O servant Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; you shall go to His court in joyous high spirits. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭਸ ਦਾ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੇ ॥
har toohai dhaataa sabhas dhaa sabh jeea tum(h)aare ||
Lord, You are the Great Giver of all; all beings are Yours.
ਸਭਿ ਤੁਧੈ ਨੋ ਆਰਾਧਦੇ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
sabh tudhai no aaraadhadhe dhaan dheh piaare ||
They all worship You in adoration; You bless them with Your Bounty, O Beloved.
ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤੈ ਦਾਤਾਰਿ ਹਥੁ ਕਢਿਆ ਮੀਹੁ ਵੁਠਾ ਸੈਸਾਰੇ ॥
har dhaatai dhaataar hath kaddiaa meeh vuThaa saisaare ||
The Generous Lord, the Great Giver reaches out with His Hands, and the rain pours down on the world.
ਅੰਨੁ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਖੇਤੀ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮੑਾਰੇ ॥
a(n)n ja(n)miaa khetee bhaau kar har naam sam(h)aare ||
The corn germinates in the fields; contemplate the Lord's Name with love.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
jan naanak ma(n)gai dhaan prabh har naam adhaare ||2||
Servant Nanak begs for the Gift of the Support of the Name of his Lord God. ||2||

ਇਛਾ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੀਐ ਜਪੀਐ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ॥
eichhaa man kee pooreeaai japeeaai sukh saagar ||
The desires of the mind are satisfied, meditating on the Ocean of Peace.
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਅਰਾਧੀਅਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤਨਾਗਰੁ ॥
har ke charan araadhe'eeh gur sabadh ratanaagar ||
Worship and adore the Feet of the Lord, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the jewel mine.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਉਧਾਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਫਾਟੈ ਜਮ ਕਾਗਰੁ ॥
mil saadhoo sa(n)g udhaar hoi faaTai jam kaagar ||
Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, one is saved, and the Decree of Death is torn up.
ਜਨਮ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤੀਐ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੈਰਾਗਰੁ ॥
janam padhaarath jeeteeaai jap har bairaagar ||
The treasure of this human life is won, meditating on the Lord of Detachment.
ਸਭਿ ਪਵਹੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਦੁਖ ਦਾਗਰੁ ॥੧੪॥
sabh pavahu saran satiguroo kee binasai dhukh dhaagar ||14||
Let everyone seek the Sanctuary of the True Guru; let the black spot of pain, the scar of suffering, be erased. ||14||
ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੪ ॥

Shalok, Fourth Mehla:
ਹਉ ਢੂੰਢੇਂਦੀ ਸਜਣਾ ਸਜਣੁ ਮੈਡੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
hau ddoo(n)dde(n)dhee sajanaa sajan maiddai naal ||
I was seeking, searching for my Friend, but my Friend is right here with me.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖੀਐ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਲਿ ॥੧॥
jan naanak alakh na lakheeaai gurmukh dheh dhikhaal ||1||
O servant Nanak, the Unseen is not seen, but the Gurmukh is given to see Him. ||1||

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਾਈ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਚੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਰਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
naanak preet laiee tin sachai tis bin rahan na jaiee ||
O Nanak, I am in love with the True Lord; I cannot survive without Him.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਤ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਈ ॥੨॥
satigur milai ta pooraa paieeaai har ras rasan rasaiee ||2||
Meeting the True Guru, the Perfect Lord is found, and the tongue savors His Sublime Essence. ||2||

ਕੋਈ ਗਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਸੁਣੈ ਕੋ ਉਚਰਿ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥
koiee gaavai ko sunai ko uchar sunaavai ||
Some sing, some listen, and some speek and preach.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਮਲੁ ਉਤਰੈ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
janam janam kee mal utarai man chi(n)dhiaa paavai ||
The filth and pollution of countless lifetimes is washed away, and the wishes of the mind are fulfilled.
ਆਵਣੁ ਜਾਣਾ ਮੇਟੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
aavan jaanaa meTeeaai har ke gun gaavai ||
Coming and going in reincarnation ceases, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਆਪਿ ਤਰਹਿ ਸੰਗੀ ਤਰਾਹਿ ਸਭ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਤਰਾਵੈ ॥
aap tareh sa(n)gee taraeh sabh kuTa(n)b taraavai ||
They save themselves, and save their companions; they save all their generations as well.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧੫॥੧॥ ਸੁਧੁ ॥
jan naanak tis balihaaranai jo mere har prabh bhaavai ||15||1|| sudh ||
Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to those who are pleasing to my Lord God. ||15||1|| Sudh||

Raag Kaanraa, The Word Of Naam Dayv Jee:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar satigur prasaadh ||
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਐਸੋ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
aaiso raam rai a(n)tarajaamee ||
Such is the Sovereign Lord, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of Hearts;
ਜੈਸੇ ਦਰਪਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਬਦਨ ਪਰਵਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jaise dharapan maeh badhan paravaanee ||1|| rahaau ||
He sees everything as clearly as one's face reflected in a mirror. ||1||Pause||
ਬਸੈ ਘਟਾ ਘਟ ਲੀਪ ਨ ਛੀਪੈ ॥
basai ghaTaa ghaT leep na chheepai ||
He dwells in each and every heart; no stain or stigma sticks to Him.
ਬੰਧਨ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਜਾਤੁ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ॥੧॥
ba(n)dhan mukataa jaat na dheesai ||1||
He is liberated from bondage; He does not belong to any social class. ||1||
ਪਾਨੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਦੇਖੁ ਮੁਖੁ ਜੈਸਾ ॥
paanee maeh dhekh mukh jaisaa ||
As one's face is reflected in the water,
ਨਾਮੇ ਕੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬੀਠਲੁ ਐਸਾ ॥੨॥੧॥
naame ko suaamee beeThal aaisaa ||2||1||
so does Naam Dayv's Beloved Lord and Master appear. ||2||1||
