ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੇ ਕੀਨਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੩॥
gur sabadhe keenaa ridhai nivaas ||3||
The Word of the Guru's Shabad has come to dwell within my heart. ||3||
ਗੁਰ ਸਮਰਥ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
gur samarath sadhaa dhiaal ||
The Guru is All-powerful and Merciful forever.
ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਏ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੪॥੧੧॥
har jap jap naanak bhe nihaal ||4||11||
Chanting and meditating on the Lord, Nanak is exalted and enraptured. ||4||11||
ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
prabhaatee mahalaa panjavaa ||
Prabhaatee, Fifth Mehla:
ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
gur gur karat sadhaa sukh paiaa ||
Chanting Guru, Guru, I have found eternal peace.
ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਅਪਣਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਆਪਿ ਜਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dheen dhiaal bhe kirapaalaa apanaa naam aap japaiaa ||1|| rahaau ||
God, Merciful to the meek, has become kind and compassionate; He has inspired me to chant His Name. ||1||Pause||
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਭਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ॥
sa(n)tasa(n)gat mil bhiaa pragaas ||
Joining the Society of the Saints, I am illumined and enlightened.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਆਸ ॥੧॥
har har japat pooran bhiee aas ||1||
Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, my hopes have been fulfilled. ||1||
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਸੂਖ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠੇ ॥
sarab kaliaan sookh man vooThe ||
I am blessed with total salvation, and my mind is filled with peace.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੨॥੧੨॥
har gun gaae gur naanak tooThe ||2||12||
I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord; O Nanak, the Guru has been gracious to me. ||2||12||
ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨ ਬਿਭਾਸ
prabhaatee mahalaa panjavaa ghar doojaa bibhaas
Prabhaatee, Fifth Mehla, Second House, Bibhaas:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar satigur prasaadh ||
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਠਾਉ ॥
avar na dhoojaa Thaau ||
There is no other place of rest,
ਨਾਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
naahee bin har naau ||
none at all, without the Lord's Name.
ਸਰਬ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਲਿਆਨ ॥
sarab sidh kaliaan ||
There is total success and salvation,
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥
pooran hoh sagal kaam ||1||
and all affairs are perfectly resolved. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਨੀਤ ॥
har ko naam japeeaai neet ||
Constantly chant the Name of the Lord.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਲਗੈ ਏਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kaam karodh aha(n)kaar binasai lagai ekai preet ||1|| rahaau ||
Sexuality, anger and egotism are wiped away; let yourself fall in love with the One Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਦੂਖੁ ਭਾਗੈ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਾਲਨ ਜੋਗੁ ॥
naam laagai dhookh bhaagai saran paalan jog ||
Attached to the Naam, the Name of the Lord, pain runs away. In His Sanctuary, He cherishes and sustains us.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਜਮੁ ਨ ਤੇਟੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਧੁਰਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ॥੨॥
satigur bheTai jam na teTai jis dhur hovai sa(n)jog ||2||
Whoever has such pre-ordained destiny meets with the True Guru; the Messenger of Death cannot grab him. ||2||
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤਜਹੁ ਮਨ ਕੇ ਭਰਮ ॥
rain dhinas dhiaai har har tajahu man ke bharam ||
Night and day, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har; abandon the doubts of your mind.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮ ॥੩॥
saadhasa(n)gat har milai jiseh pooran karam ||3||
One who has perfect karma joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and meets the Lord. ||3||
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਖਾਦ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਆਪਿ ॥
janam janam bikhaadh binase raakh leene aap ||
The sins of countless lifetimes are erased, and one is protected by the Lord Himself.
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੀਤ ਭਾਈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੩॥
maat pitaa meet bhaiee jan naanak har har jaap ||4||1||13||
He is our Mother, Father, Friend and Sibling; O servant Nanak, meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||1||13||

ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਅਹੰ ਤਾਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kal kales lobh moh binas jai aha(n) taap ||1|| rahaau ||
Conflict, suffering, greed and emotional attachment shall be dispelled, and the fever of egotism shall be relieved. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨ ਲਾਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਜਾਹਿ ਪਾਪ ॥੧॥
aap tiaag sa(n)t charan laag man pavit jaeh paap ||1||
Renounce your selfishness, and grasp the feet of the Saints; your mind shall be sanctified, and your sins shall be taken away. ||1||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਰਾਖਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੪॥
naanak baarik kachhoo na jaanai raakhan kau prabh maiee baap ||2||1||14||
Nanak, the child, does not know anything at all. O God, please protect me; You are my Mother and Father. ||2||1||14||
ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਰਨਿ ਟੇਕ ॥

ਊਚ ਮੂਚ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਊਪਰਿ ਤੁਹੀ ਏਕ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
uooch mooch bea(n)t Thaakur sarab uoopar tuhee ek ||1|| rahaau ||
You are Lofty and Exalted, Grand and Infinite, O my Lord and Master; You alone are above all. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਦੁਖ ਬਿਦਾਰ ਦੈਨਹਾਰ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥੧॥
praan adhaar dhukh bidhaar dhainahaar budh bibek ||1||
He is the Support of the breath of life, the Destroyer of pain, the Giver of discriminating understanding. ||1||
ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਰਖਨਹਾਰ ਮਨਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਕ ॥
namasakaar rakhanahaar man araadh prabhoo mek ||
So bow down in respect to the Savior Lord; worship and adore the One God.
ਸੰਤ ਰੇਨੁ ਕਰਉ ਮਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੇਕ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੫॥
sa(n)t ren karau majan naanak paavai sukh anek ||2||2||15||
Bathing in the dust of the feet of the Saints, Nanak is blessed with countless comforts. ||2||2||15||
