ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਕਿਰਮ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਇਹੈ ਮਨੋਰਥੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੨॥
dhiaa karahu kiram apune kau ihai manorath suaau ||2||
Please, be kind to me - I am just a worm. This is my object and purpose. ||2||
ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਮਰੈ ਵਸਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
tan dhan teraa too(n) prabh meraa hamarai vas kichh naeh ||
My body and wealth are Yours; You are my God - nothing is in my power.
ਜਿਉ ਜਿਉ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਤਿਉ ਤਿਉ ਰਹਣਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਆ ਖਾਹਿ ॥੩॥
jiau jiau raakheh tiau tiau rahanaa teraa dheeaa khaeh ||3||
As You keep me, so do I live; I eat what You give me. ||3||
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਕਾਟੈ ਮਜਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ॥
janam janam ke kilavikh kaaTai majan har jan dhoor ||
The sins of countless incarnations are washed away, by bathing in the dust of the Lord's humble servants.
ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰਮ ਭਉ ਨਾਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੩੯॥
bhai bhagat bharam bhau naasai har naanak sadhaa hajoor ||4||4||139||
By loving devotional worship, doubt and fear depart; O Nanak, the Lord is Ever-present. ||4||4||139||

ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥
agam agochar dharas teraa so paae jis masatak bhaag ||
The Blessed Vision of Your Darshan is unapproachable and incomprehensible; he alone obtains it, who has such good destiny recorded upon his forehead.
ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬਖਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥
aap kirapaal kirapaa prabh dhaaree satigur bakhasiaa har naam ||1||
The Merciful Lord God has bestowed His Mercy, and the True Guru has granted the Lord's Name. ||1||
ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਉਧਾਰਿਆ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
kalijug udhaariaa gurdhev ||
The Divine Guru is the Saving Grace in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga.
ਮਲ ਮੂਤ ਮੂੜ ਜਿ ਮੁਘਦ ਹੋਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਲਗੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mal moot mooR j mughadh hote sabh lage teree sev ||1|| rahaau ||
Even those fools and idiots, stained with feces and urine, have all taken to Your service. ||1||Pause||
ਤੂ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
too aap karataa sabh sirasaT dharataa sabh meh rahiaa samai ||
You Yourself are the Creator, who established the entire world. You are contained in all.
ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਭ ਪਈ ਪੈਰੀ ਆਇ ॥੨॥
dharam raajaa bisamaadh hoaa sabh piee pairee aai ||2||
The Righteous Judge of Dharma is wonder-struck, at the sight of everyone falling at the Lord's Feet. ||2||
ਸਤਜੁਗੁ ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਦੁਆਪਰੁ ਭਣੀਐ ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਊਤਮੋ ਜੁਗਾ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
satajug tretaa dhuaapar bhaneeaai kalijug uootamo jugaa maeh ||
The Golden Age of Sat Yuga, the Silver Age of Trayta Yuga, and the Brass Age of Dwaapar Yuga are good; but the best is the Dark Age, the Iron Age, of Kali Yuga.
ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਕੋਈ ਨ ਪਕੜੀਐ ਕਿਸੈ ਥਾਇ ॥੩॥
eh kar kare su eh kar paae koiee na pakaReeaai kisai thai ||3||
As we act, so are the rewards we receive; no one can take the place of another. ||3||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਏਹੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ॥
har jeeau soiee kareh j bhagat tere jaacheh eh teraa biradh ||
O Dear Lord, whatever Your devotees ask for, You do. This is Your Way, Your very nature.
ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਅਪਣਿਆ ਸੰਤਾ ਦੇਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸੁ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੪੦॥
kar joR naanak dhaan maagai apaniaa sa(n)taa dheh har dharas ||4||5||140||
With my palms pressed together, O Nanak, I beg for this gift; Lord, please bless Your Saints with Your Vision. ||4||5||140||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਚਨ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੇ ॥
satigur bachan tum(h)aare ||
O True Guru, by Your Words,
ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
niragun nisataare ||1|| rahaau ||
even the worthless have been saved. ||1||Pause||
ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਾਦੀ ਦੁਸਟ ਅਪਵਾਦੀ ਤੇ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਸੰਗਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
mahaa bikhaadhee dhusaT apavaadhee te puneet sa(n)gaare ||1||
Even the most argumentative, vicious and indecent people, have been purified in Your company. ||1||
ਜਨਮ ਭਵੰਤੇ ਨਰਕਿ ਪੜੰਤੇ ਤਿਨੑ ਕੇ ਕੁਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
janam bhava(n)te narak paRa(n)te tin(h) ke kul udhaare ||2||
Those who have wandered in reincarnation, and those who have been consigned to hell - even their families have been redeemed. ||2||
ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮਾਨੈ ਸੇ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹਰਿ ਦੁਆਰੇ ॥੩॥
koi na jaanai koi na maanai se paragaT har dhuaare ||3||
Those whom no one knew, and those whom no one respected - even they have become famous and respected at the Court of the Lord. ||3||
ਕਵਨ ਉਪਮਾ ਦੇਉ ਕਵਨ ਵਡਾਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਵਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੪੧॥
kavan upamaa dheau kavan vaddaiee naanak khin khin vaare ||4||1||141||
What praise, and what greatness should I attribute to You? Nanak is a sacrifice to You, each and every moment. ||4||1||141||
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

ਬਾਵਰ ਸੋਇ ਰਹੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

The crazy people are asleep. ||1||Pause||
ਮੋਹ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਸ ਮਾਤੇ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਗਹਨ ਗਹੇ ॥੧॥
moh kuTa(n)b bikhai ras maate mithiaa gahan gahe ||1||
They are intoxicated with attachment to their families and sensory pleasures; they are held in the grip of falsehood. ||1||
ਮਿਥਨ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਸੁਪਨ ਆਨੰਦ ਉਲਾਸ ਮਨਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਸਤਿ ਕਹੇ ॥੨॥
mithan manorath supan aana(n)dh ulaas man mukh sat kahe ||2||
The false desires, and the dream-like delights and pleasures - these, the self-willed manmukhs call true. ||2||
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਸੰਗੇ ਤਿਲੁ ਮਰਮੁ ਨ ਲਹੇ ॥੩॥
a(n)mrit naam padhaarath sa(n)ge til maram na lahe ||3||
The wealth of the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, is with them, but they do not find even a tiny bit of its mystery. ||3||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖੇ ਸਤਸੰਗੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਆਹੇ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੪੨॥
kar kirapaa raakhe satasa(n)ge naanak saran aahe ||4||2||142||
By Your Grace, O Lord, You save those, who take to the Sanctuary of the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. ||4||2||142||

ਕਨਿਕ ਮਾਣਿਕ ਗਜ ਮੋਤੀਅਨ ਲਾਲਨ ਨਹ ਨਾਹ ਨਹੀ ॥੧॥
kanik maanik gaj moteean laalan neh naeh nahee ||1||
Gold, jewels, giant pearls and rubies - I have no need for them. ||1||
ਰਾਜ ਨ ਭਾਗ ਨ ਹੁਕਮ ਨ ਸਾਦਨ ॥
