ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਅਮਰੁ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੭॥
jo tudh bhaavai so bhalaa piaare teree amar rajai ||7||
Whatever pleases You is good, O Beloved; Your Will is Eternal. ||7||
ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਾਤੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥੪॥
naanak ra(n)g rate naarainai piaare maate sahaj subhai ||8||2||4||
Nanak, those who are imbued with the Love of the All-Pervading Lord, O Beloved, remain intoxicated with His Love, in natural ease. ||8||2||4||
ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨਤੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਕਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਕਹਉ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥੧॥
sabh bidh tum hee jaanate piaare kis peh kahau sunai ||1||
You know all about my condition, O Beloved; who can I speak to about it? ||1||
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਪਹਿਰਹਿ ਖਾਇ ॥੨॥
too(n) dhaataa jeeaa sabhanaa kaa teraa dhitaa pahireh khai ||2||
You are the Giver of all beings; they eat and wear what You give them. ||2||
ਸੁਖੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
sukh dhukh teree aagiaa piaare dhoojee naahee jai ||3||
Pleasure and pain come by Your Will, O Beloved; they do not come from any other. ||3||
ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਾਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਕਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥
jo too(n) karaaveh so karee piaare avar kichh karan na jai ||4||
Whatever You cause me to do, that I do, O Beloved; I cannot do anything else. ||4||
ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਸਭ ਸੁਹਾਵਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਤੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥੫॥
dhin rain sabh suhaavane piaare jit japeeaai har naau ||5||
All my days and nights are blessed, O Beloved, when I chant and meditate on the Lord's Name. ||5||
ਸਾਈ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਣੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਾਇ ॥੬॥
saiee kaar kamaavanee piaare dhur masatak lekh likhai ||6||
He does the deeds, O Beloved, which are pre-ordained, and inscribed upon his forehead. ||6||
ਏਕੋ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੭॥
eko aap varatadhaa piaare ghaT ghaT rahiaa samai ||7||
The One is Himself prevailing everywhere, O Beloved; He is pervading in each and every heart. ||7||
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਉਧਰਿ ਲੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥੮॥੩॥੨੨॥੧੫॥੨॥੪੨॥
sa(n)saar koop te udhar lai piaare naanak har saranai ||8||3||22||15||2||42||
Lift me up out of the deep pit of the world, O Beloved; Nanak has taken to Your Sanctuary. ||8||3||22||15||2||42||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਸਸੈ ਸੋਇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜੀ ਸਭਨਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਏਕੁ ਭਇਆ ॥
sasai soi sirasaT jin saajee sabhanaa saahib ek bhiaa ||
Sassa: He who created the world, is the One Lord and Master of all.
ਸੇਵਤ ਰਹੇ ਚਿਤੁ ਜਿਨੑ ਕਾ ਲਾਗਾ ਆਇਆ ਤਿਨੑ ਕਾ ਸਫਲੁ ਭਇਆ ॥੧॥
sevat rahe chit jin(h) kaa laagaa aaiaa tin(h) kaa safal bhiaa ||1||
Those whose consciousness remains committed to His Service - blessed is their birth and their coming into the world. ||1||
ਮਨ ਕਾਹੇ ਭੂਲੇ ਮੂੜ ਮਨਾ ॥
man kaahe bhoole mooR manaa ||
O mind, why forget Him? You foolish mind!
ਜਬ ਲੇਖਾ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਬੀਰਾ ਤਉ ਪੜਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jab lekhaa dheveh beeraa tau paRiaa ||1|| rahaau ||
When your account is adjusted, O brother, only then shall you be judged wise. ||1||Pause||
ਈਵੜੀ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਈ ॥
e'eevaRee aadh purakh hai dhaataa aape sachaa soiee ||
Eevree: The Primal Lord is the Giver; He alone is True.
ਏਨਾ ਅਖਰਾ ਮਹਿ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥
enaa akharaa meh jo gurmukh boojhai tis sir lekh na hoiee ||2||
No accounting is due from the Gurmukh who understands the Lord through these letters. ||2||
ਊੜੈ ਉਪਮਾ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਜੈ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
uooRai upamaa taa kee keejai jaa kaa a(n)t na paiaa ||
Ooraa: Sing the Praises of the One whose limit cannot be found.
ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਜਿਨੑੀ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
sevaa kareh seiee fal paaveh jin(h)ee sach kamaiaa ||3||
Those who perform service and practice truth, obtain the fruits of their rewards. ||3||
ਙੰਙੈ ਙਿਆਨੁ ਬੂਝੈ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਪੜਿਆ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਸੋਈ ॥
n(g)(n)n(g)ai n(g)iaan boojhai je koiee paRiaa pa(n)ddit soiee ||
Nganga: One who understands spiritual wisdom becomes a Pandit, a religious scholar.
ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਤਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਹੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੪॥
sarab jeeaa meh eko jaanai taa haumai kahai na koiee ||4||
One who recognizes the One Lord among all beings does not talk of ego. ||4||
ਕਕੈ ਕੇਸ ਪੁੰਡਰ ਜਬ ਹੂਏ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਾਬੂਣੈ ਉਜਲਿਆ ॥
kakai kes pu(n)ddar jab hooe vin saaboonai ujaliaa ||
Kakka: When the hair grows grey, then it shines without shampoo.
ਜਮ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੇ ਹੇਰੂ ਆਏ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਲਿ ਬੰਧਿ ਲਇਆ ॥੫॥
jam raaje ke heroo aae maiaa kai sa(n)gal ba(n)dh liaa ||5||
The hunters of the King of Death come, and bind him in the chains of Maya. ||5||
ਖਖੈ ਖੁੰਦਕਾਰੁ ਸਾਹ ਆਲਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਖਰੀਦਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਖਰਚੁ ਦੀਆ ॥
khakhai khu(n)dhakaar saeh aalam kar khareedh jin kharach dheeaa ||
Khakha: The Creator is the King of the world; He enslaves by giving nourishment.
ਬੰਧਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਬਾਧਿਆ ਅਵਰੀ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਇਆ ॥੬॥
ba(n)dhan jaa kai sabh jag baadhiaa avaree kaa nahee hukam piaa ||6||
By His Binding, all the world is bound; no other Command prevails. ||6||
ਗਗੈ ਗੋਇ ਗਾਇ ਜਿਨਿ ਛੋਡੀ ਗਲੀ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗਰਬਿ ਭਇਆ ॥
gagai goi gai jin chhoddee galee gobidh garab bhiaa ||
Gagga: One who renounces the singing of the songs of the Lord of the Universe, becomes arrogant in his speech.
ਘੜਿ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਆਵੀ ਸਾਜੀ ਚਾੜਣ ਵਾਹੈ ਤਈ ਕੀਆ ॥੭॥
ghaR bhaa(n)dde jin aavee saajee chaaRan vaahai tiee keeaa ||7||
One who has shaped the pots, and made the world the kiln, decides when to put them in it. ||7||
ਘਘੈ ਘਾਲ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜੇ ਘਾਲੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹੈ ॥
ghaghai ghaal sevak je ghaalai sabadh guroo kai laag rahai ||
Ghagha: The servant who performs service, remains attached to the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਜੇ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਮਤੁ ਰਹੈ ॥੮॥
buraa bhalaa je sam kar jaanai in bidh saahib ramat rahai ||8||
One who recognizes bad and good as one and the same - in this way he is absorbed into the Lord and Master. ||8||
ਚਚੈ ਚਾਰਿ ਵੇਦ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਖਾਣੀ ਚਾਰਿ ਜੁਗਾ ॥
chachai chaar vedh jin saaje chaare khaanee chaar jugaa ||
Chacha: He created the four Vedas, the four sources of creation, and the four ages
ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੋਗੀ ਖਾਣੀ ਭੋਗੀ ਪੜਿਆ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਆਪਿ ਥੀਆ ॥੯॥
jug jug jogee khaanee bhogee paRiaa pa(n)ddit aap theeaa ||9||
- through each and every age, He Himself has been the Yogi, the enjoyer, the Pandit and the scholar. ||9||
