Goojaree, Fifth Mehla:
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਉ ਨਿਸਿ ਅਰੁ ਭੋਰ ॥
kar kirapaa apanaa dharas dheejai jas gaavau nis ar bhor ||
Show Mercy to me, and grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. I sing Your Praises night and day.
ਕੇਸ ਸੰਗਿ ਦਾਸ ਪਗ ਝਾਰਉ ਇਹੈ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਮੋਰ ॥੧॥
kes sa(n)g dhaas pag jhaarau ihai manorath mor ||1||
With my hair, I wash the feet of Your slave; this is my life's purpose. ||1||
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਬੀਆ ਨ ਹੋਰ ॥
Thaakur tujh bin beeaa na hor ||
O Lord and Master, without You, there is no other at all.
ਚਿਤਿ ਚਿਤਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਨ ਅਰਾਧਉ ਨਿਰਖਉ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਓਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
chit chitavau har rasan araadhau nirakhau tumaree or ||1|| rahaau ||
O Lord, in my mind I remain conscious of You; with my tongue I worship You, and with my eyes, I gaze upon You. ||1||Pause||
ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਰਬ ਕੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਬਿਨਉ ਕਰਉ ਕਰ ਜੋਰਿ ॥
dhiaal purakh sarab ke Thaakur binau karau kar jor ||
O Merciful Lord, O Lord and Master of all, with my palms pressed together I pray to You.
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਉਧਰਸਿ ਆਖੀ ਫੋਰ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੨੦॥
naam japai naanak dhaas tumaro udharas aakhee for ||2||11||20||
Nanak, Your slave, chants Your Name, and is redeemed in the twinkling of an eye. ||2||11||20||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehla:
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਲੋਕ ਅਰੁ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਲੋਕ ਆਈ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਧਾਇ ॥
braham lok ar rudhr lok aaiee i(n)dhr lok te dhai ||
Overwhelming the realm of Brahma, the realm of Shiva and the realm of Indra, Maya has come running here.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਉ ਜੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਮਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਧੋਵੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥
saadhasa(n)gat kau joh na saakai mal mal dhovai pai ||1||
But she cannot touch the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; she washes and massages their feet. ||1||
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਆਇ ਪਰਿਓ ਸਰਨਾਇ ॥
ab moh aai pario saranai ||
Now, I have come and entered the Lord's Sanctuary.
ਗੁਹਜ ਪਾਵਕੋ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਰੈ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਹੈ ਬਤਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
guhaj paavako bahut prajaarai mo kau satigur dheeo hai batai ||1|| rahaau ||
This awful fire has burned so many; the True Guru has cautioned me about it. ||1||Pause||
ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਅਰੁ ਜਖੵ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਨਰ ਰਹੀ ਕੰਠਿ ਉਰਝਾਇ ॥
sidh saadhik ar jakhaye ki(n)nar nar rahee ka(n)Th urajhai ||
It clings to the necks of the Siddhas, and the seekers, the demi-gods, angels and mortals.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਗੁ ਕੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕੋਟਿ ਐਸੀ ਦਾਸਾਇ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੨੧॥
jan naanak a(n)g keeaa prabh karatai jaa kai koT aaisee dhaasai ||2||12||21||
Servant Nanak has the support of God the Creator, who has millions of slaves like her. ||2||12||21||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehla:
ਅਪਜਸੁ ਮਿਟੈ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਗਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਬੈਸਣੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
apajas miTai hovai jag keerat dharageh baisan paieeaai ||
His bad reputation is erased, he is acclaimed all over the world, and he obtains a seat in the Court of the Lord.
ਜਮ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਇ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਸੁਖ ਅਨਦ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
jam kee traas naas hoi khin meh sukh anadh setee ghar jaieeaai ||1||
The fear of death is removed in an instant, and he goes to the Lord's House in peace and bliss. ||1||
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਘਾਲ ਨ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
jaa te ghaal na birathee jaieeaai ||
His works do not go in vain.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aaTh pahar simarahu prabh apanaa man tan sadhaa dhiaaieeaai ||1|| rahaau ||
Twenty-four hours a day, remember your God in meditation; meditate on Him continually in your mind and body. ||1||Pause||
ਮੋਹਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
moh saran dheen dhukh bha(n)jan too(n) dheh soiee prabh paieeaai ||
I seek Your Sanctuary, O Destroyer of the pains of the poor; whatever You give me, God, that is what I receive.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਹ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੨੨॥
charan kamal naanak ra(n)g raate har dhaaseh paij rakhaieeaai ||2||13||22||
Nanak is imbued with the love of Your lotus feet; O Lord, please preserve the honor of Your slave. ||2||13||22||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehla:
ਬਿਸ੍ਵੰਭਰ ਜੀਅਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
bisavai(n)bhar jeean ko dhaataa bhagat bhare bha(n)ddaar ||
The all-sustaining Lord is the Giver of all beings; His devotional worship is an overflowing treasure.
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਫਲ ਨ ਹੋਵਤ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਕਰੇ ਉਧਾਰ ॥੧॥
jaa kee sevaa nifal na hovat khin meh kare udhaar ||1||
Service to Him is not wasted; in an instant, He emancipates. ||1||
ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਚੁ ॥
man mere charan kamal sa(n)g raach ||
O my mind, immerse yourself in the Lord's lotus feet.
ਸਗਲ ਜੀਅ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਆਰਾਧਹਿ ਤਾਹੂ ਕਉ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਚੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal jeea jaa kau aaraadheh taahoo kau too(n) jaach ||1|| rahaau ||
Seek from Him, who is worshipped by all beings. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੀ ਕਰਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ॥
naanak saran tum(h)aaree karate too(n) prabh praan adhaar ||
Nanak has entered Your Sanctuary, O Creator Lord; You, O God, are the support of my breath of life.
ਹੋਇ ਸਹਾਈ ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਹਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੨॥੧੪॥੨੩॥
hoi sahaiee jis too(n) raakheh tis kahaa kare sa(n)saar ||2||14||23||
He who is protected by You, O Helper Lord - what can the world do to him? ||2||14||23||

Goojaree, Fifth Mehla:
ਜਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਆਪ ॥
jan kee paij savaaree aap ||
The Lord Himself has protected the honor of His humble servant.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਵਖਧੁ ਉਤਰਿ ਗਇਓ ਸਭੁ ਤਾਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har har naam dheeo gur avakhadh utar gio sabh taap ||1|| rahaau ||
The Guru has given the medicine of the Lord's Name, Har, Har, and all afflictions are gone. ||1||Pause||
ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਰਖਿਓ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
harigobi(n)dh rakhio paramesar apunee kirapaa dhaar ||
The Transcendent Lord, in His Mercy, has preserved Har Gobind.
ਮਿਟੀ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
miTee biaadh sarab sukh hoe har gun sadhaa beechaar ||1||
The disease is over, and there is joy all around; we ever contemplate the Glories of God. ||1||
ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਓ ਮੇਰੈ ਕਰਤੈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
a(n)geekaar keeo merai karatai gur poore kee vaddiaaiee ||
My Creator Lord has made me His own; such is the glorious greatness of the Perfect Guru.
ਅਬਿਚਲ ਨੀਵ ਧਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੨੪॥
abichal neev dharee gur naanak nit nit chaRai savaiee ||2||15||24||
Guru Nanak laid the immovable foundation, which grows higher and higher each day. ||2||15||24||
