Sorat'h, Fifth Mehla:
ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਸਭੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ॥
dhurat gavaiaa har prabh aape sabh sa(n)saar ubaariaa ||
The Lord God Himself has rid the whole world of its sins, and saved it.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਅਪਣਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
paarabraham prabh kirapaa dhaaree apanaa biradh samaariaa ||1||
The Supreme Lord God extended His mercy, and confirmed His innate nature. ||1||
ਹੋਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਰਖਵਾਲੀ ॥
hoiee raaje raam kee rakhavaalee ||
I have attained the Protective Sanctuary of the Lord, my King.
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਦੇਹ ਸੁਖਾਲੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sookh sahaj aanadh gun gaavahu man tan dheh sukhaalee || rahaau ||
In celestial peace and ecstasy, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and my mind, body and being are at peace. ||Pause||
ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ॥
patit udhaaran satigur meraa moh tis kaa bharavaasaa ||
My True Guru is the Savior of sinners; I have placed my trust and faith in Him.
ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਸਭਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਾਹਿਬਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਾ ॥੨॥੧੭॥੪੫॥
bakhas le sabh sachai saahib sun naanak kee aradhaasaa ||2||17||45||
The True Lord has heard Nanak's prayer, and He has forgiven everything. ||2||17||45||

ਬਖਸਿਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਰੋਗ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥
bakhasiaa paarabraham paramesar sagale rog bidhaare ||
The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord, has forgiven me, and all diseases have been cured.
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਣੀ ਉਬਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
gur poore kee saranee ubare kaaraj sagal savaare ||1||
Those who come to the Sanctuary of the True Guru are saved, and all their affairs are resolved. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜਨਿ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਿ ॥
har jan simariaa naam adhaar ||
The Lord's humble servant meditates in remembrance on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; this is his only support.
ਤਾਪੁ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
taap utaariaa satigur poorai apanee kirapaa dhaar || rahaau ||
The Perfect True Guru extended His Mercy, and the fever has been dispelled. ||Pause||
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਵਿਦੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥
sadhaa ana(n)dh kareh mere piaare har govidh gur raakhiaa ||
So celebrate and be happy, my beloveds - the Guru has saved Hargobind.
ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੀ ਸਾਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਤਿ ਭਾਖਿਆ ॥੨॥੧੮॥੪੬॥
vaddee vaddiaaiee naanak karate kee saach sabadh sat bhaakhiaa ||2||18||46||
Great is the glorious greatness of the Creator, O Nanak; True is the Word of His Shabad, and True is the sermon of His Teachings. ||2||18||46||

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਤਿਤੁ ਸਾਚੈ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥
bhe kirapaal suaamee mere tit saachai dharabaar ||
My Lord and Master has become Merciful, in His True Court.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਤਾਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਭਾਈ ਠਾਂਢਿ ਪਈ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥
satigur taap gavaiaa bhaiee Thaa(n)dd piee sa(n)saar ||
The True Guru has taken away the fever, and the whole world is at peace, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਅਪਣੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਆਪੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਜਮਹਿ ਕੀਓ ਹਟਤਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
apane jeea ja(n)t aape raakhe jameh keeo haTataar ||1||
The Lord Himself protects His beings and creatures, and the Messenger of Death is out of work. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਰਿਦੈ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
har ke charan ridhai ur dhaar ||
Enshrine the Lord's feet within your heart.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਿਮਰੀਐ ਭਾਈ ਦੁਖ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sadhaa sadhaa prabh simareeaai bhaiee dhukh kilabikh kaaTanahaar ||1|| rahaau ||
Forever and ever, meditate in remembrance on God, O Siblings of Destiny. He is the Eradicator of suffering and sins. ||1||Pause||
ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸਰਣੀ ਊਬਰੈ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਚਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
tis kee saranee uoobarai bhaiee jin rachiaa sabh koi ||
He fashioned all beings, O Siblings of Destiny, and His Sanctuary saves them.
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸੋ ਭਾਈ ਸਚੈ ਸਚੀ ਸੋਇ ॥
karan kaaran samarath so bhaiee sachai sachee soi ||
He is the Almighty Creator, the Cause of causes, O Siblings of Destiny; He, the True Lord, is True.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਭਾਈ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥੧੯॥੪੭॥
naanak prabhoo dhiaaieeaai bhaiee man tan seetal hoi ||2||19||47||
Nanak: meditate on God, O Siblings of Destiny, and your mind and body shall be cool and calm. ||2||19||47||

ਸੰਤਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
sa(n)tahu har har naam dhiaaiee ||
O Saints, meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਵਿਸਰਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਅੜਾ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sukh saagar prabh visarau naahee man chi(n)dhiaRaa fal paiee ||1|| rahaau ||
Never forget God, the ocean of peace; thus you shall obtain the fruits of your mind's desires. ||1||Pause||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਤਾਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
satigur poorai taap gavaiaa apanee kirapaa dhaaree ||
Extending His Mercy, the Perfect True Guru has dispelled the fever.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਸਭ ਪਰਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
paarabraham prabh bhe dhiaalaa dhukh miTiaa sabh paravaaree ||1||
The Supreme Lord God has become kind and compassionate, and my whole family is now free of pain and suffering. ||1||
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮੰਗਲ ਰਸ ਰੂਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੋ ॥
sarab nidhaan ma(n)gal ras roopaa har kaa naam adhaaro ||
The Treasure of absolute joy, sublime elixir and beauty, the Name of the Lord is my only Support.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪਤਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਉਧਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੋ ॥੨॥੨੦॥੪੮॥
naanak pat raakhee paramesar udhariaa sabh sa(n)saaro ||2||20||48||
O Nanak, the Transcendent Lord has preserved my honor, and saved the whole world. ||2||20||48||

ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ਹੋਆ ॥
meraa satigur rakhavaalaa hoaa ||
My True Guru is my Savior and Protector.
ਧਾਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਾਥ ਦੇ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਵਿਦੁ ਨਵਾ ਨਿਰੋਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
dhaar kirapaa prabh haath dhe raakhiaa har govidh navaa niroaa ||1|| rahaau ||
Showering us with His Mercy and Grace, God extended His Hand, and saved Hargobind, who is now safe and secure. ||1||Pause||
ਤਾਪੁ ਗਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਲਾਜ ਰਖਾਈ ॥
taap giaa prabh aap miTaiaa jan kee laaj rakhaiee ||
The fever is gone - God Himself eradicated it, and preserved the honor of His servant.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਂਈ ॥੧॥
saadhasa(n)gat te sabh fal paae satigur kai bal jaa(n)iee ||1||
I have obtained all blessings from the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; I am a sacrifice to the True Guru. ||1||
ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੋਵੈ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਹਮਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਵਗੁਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
halat palat prabh dhovai savaare hamaraa gun avagun na beechaariaa ||
God has saved me, both here and hereafter. He has not taken my merits and demerits into account.
