ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਰਵੰਨਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
hau tin kai balihaaranai man har gun sadhaa rava(n)n ||1|| rahaau ||
I am a sacrifice to those who chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord in their minds forever. ||1||Pause||
ਗੁਰੁ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਮਾਨ ਸਰੋਵਰੁ ਹੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਲਹੰਨਿੑ ॥
gur saravar maan sarovar hai vaddabhaagee purakh laha(n)ni(h) ||
The Guru is like the Mansarovar Lake; only the very fortunate beings find Him.
ਸੇਵਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਸੇ ਹੰਸੁਲੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਹੰਨਿ ॥੨॥
sevak gurmukh khojiaa se ha(n)sule naam laha(n)n ||2||
The Gurmukhs, the selfless servants, seek out the Guru; the swan-souls feed there on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਨਿੑ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਗੰਨਿੑ ॥
naam dhiaaini(h) ra(n)g siau gurmukh naam laga(n)ni(h) ||
The Gurmukhs meditate on the Naam, and remain linked to the Naam.
ਧੁਰਿ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੰਨਿ ਲਏਨਿੑ ॥੩॥
dhur poorab hovai likhiaa gur bhaanaa ma(n)n leni(h) ||3||
Whatever is pre-ordained, accept it as the Will of the Guru. ||3||
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਘਰੁ ਖੋਜਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
vaddabhaagee ghar khojiaa paiaa naam nidhaan ||
By great good fortune, I searched my home, and found the treasure of the Naam.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੁ ॥੪॥
gur poorai vekhaaliaa prabh aatam raam pachhaan ||4||
The Perfect Guru has shown God to me; I have realized the Lord, the Supreme Soul. ||4||
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabhanaa kaa prabh ek hai dhoojaa avar na koi ||
There is One God of all; there is no other at all.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਘਟਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੫॥
gur parasaadhee man vasai tit ghaT paragaT hoi ||5||
By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to abide in the mind; in the heart of such a one, He is revealed. ||5||
ਸਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਸਭ ਥਾਇ ॥
sabh a(n)tarajaamee braham hai braham vasai sabh thai ||
God is the Inner-knower of all hearts; God dwells in every place.
ਮੰਦਾ ਕਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਸਬਦਿ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੬॥
ma(n)dhaa kis no aakheeaai sabadh vekhahu liv lai ||6||
So who should we call evil? Behold the Word of the Shabad, and lovingly dwell upon it. ||6||
ਬੁਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਤਿਚਰੁ ਆਖਦਾ ਜਿਚਰੁ ਹੈ ਦੁਹੁ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
buraa bhalaa tichar aakhadhaa jichar hai dhuh maeh ||
He calls others bad and good, as long as he is in duality.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਕੋ ਬੁਝਿਆ ਏਕਸੁ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੭॥
gurmukh eko bujhiaa ekas maeh samai ||7||
The Gurmukh understands the One and Only Lord; He is absorbed in the One Lord. ||7||
ਸੇਵਾ ਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਸੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਏ ਥਾਇ ॥
sevaa saa prabh bhaavasee jo prabh paae thai ||
That is selfless service, which pleases God, and which is approved by God.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥੪॥੯॥
jan naanak har aaraadhiaa gur charanee chit lai ||8||2||4||9||
Servant Nanak worships the Lord in adoration; he focuses his consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||8||2||4||9||

Raag Soohee, Ashtpadheeyaa, Fourth Mehla, Second House:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar satigur prasaadh ||
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਕੋਈ ਆਣਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਆਪੁ ਵੇਚਾਈ ॥੧॥
koiee aan milaavai meraa preetam piaaraa hau tis peh aap vechaiee ||1||
If only someone would come, and lead me to meet my Darling Beloved; I would sell myself to him. ||1||
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਖਣ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥
dharasan har dhekhan kai taiee ||
I long for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
kirapaa kareh taa satigur meleh har har naam dhiaaiee ||1|| rahaau ||
When the Lord shows Mercy unto me, then I meet the True Guru; I meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਤ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਅਰਾਧੀ ਦੁਖਿ ਭੀ ਤੁਝੈ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੨॥
je sukh dheh ta tujheh araadhee dhukh bhee tujhai dhiaaiee ||2||
If You will bless me with happiness, then I will worship and adore You. Even in pain, I will meditate on You. ||2||
ਜੇ ਭੁਖ ਦੇਹਿ ਤ ਇਤ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੁਖ ਵਿਚਿ ਸੂਖ ਮਨਾਈ ॥੩॥
je bhukh dheh ta it hee raajaa dhukh vich sookh manaiee ||3||
Even if You give me hunger, I will still feel satisfied; I am joyful, even in the midst of sorrow. ||3||
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਸਭੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਅਗਨੀ ਆਪੁ ਜਲਾਈ ॥੪॥
tan man kaaT kaaT sabh arapee vich aganee aap jalaiee ||4||
I would cut my mind and body apart into pieces, and offer them all to You; I would burn myself in fire. ||4||
ਪਖਾ ਫੇਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਢੋਵਾ ਜੋ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਖਾਈ ॥੫॥
pakhaa feree paanee ddovaa jo dheveh so khaiee ||5||
I wave the fan over You, and carry water for You; whatever You give me, I take. ||5||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਢਹਿ ਪਇਆ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਲੈਹੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੬॥
naanak gareeb ddeh piaa dhuaarai har mel laih vaddiaaiee ||6||
Poor Nanak has fallen at the Lord's Door; please, O Lord, unite me with Yourself, by Your Glorious Greatness. ||6||
ਅਖੀ ਕਾਢਿ ਧਰੀ ਚਰਣਾ ਤਲਿ ਸਭ ਧਰਤੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਤ ਪਾਈ ॥੭॥
akhee kaadd dharee charanaa tal sabh dharatee fir mat paiee ||7||
Taking out my eyes, I place them at Your Feet; after travelling over the entire earth, I have come to understand this. ||7||
ਜੇ ਪਾਸਿ ਬਹਾਲਹਿ ਤਾ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਅਰਾਧੀ ਜੇ ਮਾਰਿ ਕਢਹਿ ਭੀ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੮॥
je paas bahaaleh taa tujheh araadhee je maar kaddeh bhee dhiaaiee ||8||
If You seat me near You, then I worship and adore You. Even if You beat me and drive me out, I will still meditate on You. ||8||
ਜੇ ਲੋਕੁ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਤਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਜੇ ਨਿੰਦੈ ਤ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੯॥
je lok salaahe taa teree upamaa je ni(n)dhai ta chhodd na jaiee ||9||
If people praise me, the praise is Yours. Even if they slander me, I will not leave You. ||9||
ਜੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਲਿ ਰਹੈ ਤਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਹੁ ਆਖਉ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਿਸਰਿਐ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੦॥
je tudh val rahai taa koiee kih aakhau tudh visariaai mar jaiee ||10||
If You are on my side, then anyone can say anything. But if I were to forget You, then I would die. ||10||
ਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਰਿ ਜਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਪੈ ਪੈਰੀ ਸੰਤ ਮਨਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
vaar vaar jaiee gur uoopar pai pairee sa(n)t manaiee ||11||
I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to my Guru; falling at His Feet, I surrender to the Saintly Guru. ||11||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਭਇਆ ਦਿਵਾਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਤਉ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੈ ਤਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
naanak vichaaraa bhiaa dhivaanaa har tau dharasan kai taiee ||12||
Poor Nanak has gone insane, longing for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||12||
ਝਖੜੁ ਝਾਗੀ ਮੀਹੁ ਵਰਸੈ ਭੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਖਣ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
jhakhaR jhaagee meeh varasai bhee gur dhekhan jaiee ||13||
Even in violent storms and torrential rain, I go out to catch a glimpse of my Guru. ||13||
ਸਮੁੰਦੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਬਹੁ ਖਾਰਾ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੁ ਲੰਘਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੪॥
samu(n)dh saagar hovai bahu khaaraa gursikh la(n)gh gur peh jaiee ||14||
Even though the oceans and the salty seas are very vast, the GurSikh will cross over it to get to his Guru. ||14||
ਜਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਜਲ ਬਿਨੁ ਹੈ ਮਰਤਾ ਤਿਉ ਸਿਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੫॥
jiau praanee jal bin hai marataa tiau sikh gur bin mar jaiee ||15||
Just as the mortal dies without water, so does the Sikh die without the Guru. ||15||
