ਹੋਇ ਰੇਣ ਸਾਧੂ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਰਾਧੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਾ ॥
hoi ren saadhoo prabh araadhoo aapane prabh bhaavaa ||
I am the dust of the feet of the Holy. Worshipping God in adoration, my God is pleased with me.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ॥੨॥
binava(n)t naanak dhiaa dhaarahu sadhaa har gun gaavaa ||2||
Prays Nanak, please bless me with Your Mercy, that I may sing Your Glorious Praises forever. ||2||
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ॥
gur mil saagar tariaa ||
Meeting with the Guru, I cross over the world-ocean.
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਜਪਤ ਨਿਸਤਰਿਆ ॥
har charan japat nisatariaa ||
Meditating on the Lord's Feet, I am emancipated.
ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਧਿਆਏ ਸਭਿ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਮਿਟੇ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥
har charan dhiaae sabh fal paae miTe aavan jaanaa ||
Meditating on the Lord's Feet, I have obtained the fruits of all rewards, and my comings and goings have ceased.
ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਾ ॥
bhai bhagat subhai har jap aapane prabh bhaavaa ||
With loving devotional worship, I meditate intuitively on the Lord, and my God is pleased.
ਜਪਿ ਏਕੁ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
jap ek alakh apaar pooran tis binaa nahee koiee ||
Meditate on the One, Unseen, Infinite, Perfect Lord; there is no other than Him.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਭਰਮੁ ਖੋਇਆ ਜਤ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਤ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥
binava(n)t naanak gur bharam khoiaa jat dhekhaa tat soiee ||3||
Prays Nanak, the Guru has erased my doubts; wherever I look, there I see Him. ||3||
ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
patit paavan har naamaa ||
The Lord's Name is the Purifier of sinners.
ਪੂਰਨ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਮਾ ॥
pooran sa(n)t janaa ke kaamaa ||
It resolves the affairs of the humble Saints.
ਗੁਰੁ ਸੰਤੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਇਛਾ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ ॥
gur sa(n)t paiaa prabh dhiaaiaa sagal ichhaa pu(n)neeaa ||
I have found the Saintly Guru, meditating on God. All my desires have been fulfilled.
ਹਉ ਤਾਪ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥
hau taap binase sadhaa sarase prabh mile chiree vichhu(n)niaa ||
The fever of egotism has been dispelled, and I am always happy. I have met God, from whom I was separated for so long.
ਮਨਿ ਸਾਤਿ ਆਈ ਵਜੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਮਨਹੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ॥
man saat aaiee vajee vadhaiee manahu kadhe na veesarai ||
My mind has found peace and tranquility; congratulations are pouring in. I shall never forget Him from my mind.
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਸਦਾ ਭਜੁ ਜਗਦੀਸਰੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥
binava(n)t naanak satigur dhiraRaiaa sadhaa bhaj jagadheesarai ||4||1||3||
Prays Nanak, the True Guru has taught me this, to vibrate and meditate forever on the Lord of the Universe. ||4||1||3||

ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੋ ਬੈਰਾਗਰੋ ਮੈ ਜੇਹੀ ਘਣ ਚੇਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
too Thaakuro bairaagaro mai jehee ghan cheree raam ||
O my Lord and Master, You are unattached; You have so many hand-maidens like me, Lord.
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਗਰੋ ਰਤਨਾਗਰੋ ਹਉ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
too(n) saagaro ratanaagaro hau saar na jaanaa teree raam ||
You are the ocean, the source of jewels; I do not know Your value, Lord.
ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਤੂ ਵਡ ਦਾਣਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਹਰੰਮਤਿ ਸਾਂਈ ॥
saar na jaanaa too vadd dhaanaa kar mihara(n)mat saa(n)iee ||
I do not know Your value; You are the wisest of all; please show Mercy unto me, O Lord.
ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ਸਾ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਜੈ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥
kirapaa keejai saa mat dheejai aaTh pahar tudh dhiaaiee ||
Show Your Mercy, and bless me with such understanding, that I may meditate on You, twenty-four hours a day.
ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ਰੇਣ ਹੋਵੀਜੈ ਤਾ ਗਤਿ ਜੀਅਰੇ ਤੇਰੀ ॥
garab na keejai ren hoveejai taa gat jeeare teree ||
O soul, don't be so arrogant - become the dust of all, and you shall be saved.
ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਮੈ ਜੇਹੀ ਘਣ ਚੇਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
sabh uoopar naanak kaa Thaakur mai jehee ghan cheree raam ||1||
Nanak's Lord is the Master of all; He has so many hand-maidens like me. ||1||
ਤੁਮੑ ਗਉਹਰ ਅਤਿ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰਾ ਤੁਮ ਪਿਰ ਹਮ ਬਹੁਰੀਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
tum(h) gauhar at gahir ga(n)bheeraa tum pir ham bahureeaa raam ||
Your depth is profound and utterly unfathomable; You are my Husband Lord, and I am Your bride.
ਤੁਮ ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਵਡ ਊਚੇ ਹਉ ਇਤਨੀਕ ਲਹੁਰੀਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
tum vadde vadde vadd uooche hau itaneek lahureeaa raam ||
You are the greatest of the great, exalted and lofty on high; I am infinitesimally small.
ਹਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਏਕੋ ਤੂਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ॥
hau kichh naahee eko toohai aape aap sujaanaa ||
I am nothing; You are the One and only. You Yourself are All-knowing.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨਿਮਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਵਾ ਸਰਬ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਮਾਨਾ ॥
a(n)mirat dhirasaT nimakh prabh jeevaa sarab ra(n)g ras maanaa ||
With just a momentary Glance of Your Grace, God, I live; I enjoy all pleasures and delights.
ਚਰਣਹ ਸਰਨੀ ਦਾਸਹ ਦਾਸੀ ਮਨਿ ਮਉਲੈ ਤਨੁ ਹਰੀਆ ॥
charaneh saranee dhaaseh dhaasee man maulai tan hareeaa ||
I seek the Sanctuary of Your Feet; I am the slave of Your slaves. My mind has blossomed forth, and my body is rejuvenated.
ਨਾਨਕ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਸਮਾਣਾ ਆਪਨ ਭਾਵਨ ਕਰੀਆ ॥੨॥
naanak Thaakur sarab samaanaa aapan bhaavan kareeaa ||2||
O Nanak, the Lord and Master is contained amongst all; He does just as He pleases. ||2||
ਤੁਝੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਮਾਣਾ ਤੂਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਤਾਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
tujh uoopar meraa hai maanaa toohai meraa taanaa raam ||
I take pride in You; You are my only Strength, Lord.
ਸੁਰਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਤੂ ਜਾਣਾਇਹਿ ਜਾਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
surat mat chaturaiee teree too jaanaieh jaanaa raam ||
You are my understanding, intellect and knowledge. I know only what You cause me to know, Lord.
ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਸੋਈ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਸਿਰੰਦੇ ॥
soiee jaanai soiee pachhaanai jaa kau nadhar sira(n)dhe ||
He alone knows, and he alone understands, upon whom the Creator Lord bestows His Grace.
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਭੂਲੀ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਰਾਹੀ ਫਾਥੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਫੰਦੇ ॥
manmukh bhoolee bahutee raahee faathee maiaa fa(n)dhe ||
The self-willed manmukh wanders along many paths, and is trapped in the net of Maya.
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਾਣੀ ਸਾ ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣਾ ॥
Thaakur bhaanee saa gunava(n)tee tin hee sabh ra(n)g maanaa ||
She alone is virtuous, who is pleasing to her Lord and Master. She alone enjoys all the pleasures.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਧਰ ਤੂਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਮਾਣਾ ॥੩॥
naanak kee dhar toohai Thaakur too naanak kaa maanaa ||3||
You, O Lord, are Nanak's only support. You are Nanak's only pride. ||3||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਵੰਞਾ ਘੋਲੀ ਵੰਞਾ ਤੂ ਪਰਬਤੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਓਲੑਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
hau vaaree va(n)n(j)aa gholee va(n)n(j)aa too parabat meraa ol(h)aa raam ||
I am a sacrifice, devoted and dedicated to You; You are my sheltering mountain, Lord.
ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ਲਖ ਲਖ ਲਖ ਬਰੀਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਪਰਦਾ ਖੋਲੑਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
hau bal jaiee lakh lakh lakh bareeaa jin bhram paradhaa khol(h)aa raam ||
I am a sacrifice, thousands, hundreds of thousands of times, to the Lord. He has torn away the veil of doubt;
