ਮਿਲੁ ਮਿਲੁ ਸਖੀ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਲੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਧੀਰ ॥੩॥
mil mil sakhee gun kahu mere prabh ke le satigur kee mat dheer ||3||
Come, and join together, O my companions; let's sing the Glorious Praises of my God, and follow the comforting advice of the True Guru.. ||3||
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਹਰਿ ਆਸ ਪੁਜਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਰੀਰ ॥੪॥੬॥
jan naanak kee har aas pujaavahu har dharasan saa(n)t sareer ||4||6||
Please fulfill the hopes of servant Nanak, O Lord; his body finds peace and tranquility in the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||4||6||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਸਭੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਭੁਗਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sabh karataa sabh bhugataa ||1|| rahaau ||
He is the Creator of all, He is the Enjoyer of all. ||1||Pause||
ਸੁਨਤੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੇਖਤ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
sunato karataa pekhat karataa ||
The Creator listens, and the Creator sees.
ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੋ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
adhirasaTo karataa dhirasaTo karataa ||
The Creator is unseen, and the Creator is seen.
ਓਪਤਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਪਰਲਉ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
opat karataa paralau karataa ||
The Creator forms, and the Creator destroys.
ਬਿਆਪਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਅਲਿਪਤੋ ਕਰਤਾ ॥੧॥
biaapat karataa alipato karataa ||1||
The Creator touches, and the Creator is detached. ||1||
ਬਕਤੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਬੂਝਤ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
bakato karataa boojhat karataa ||
The Creator is the One who speaks, and the Creator is the One who understands.
ਆਵਤੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਜਾਤੁ ਭੀ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
aavat karataa jaat bhee karataa ||
The Creator comes, and the Creator also goes.
ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਰਗੁਨ ਕਰਤਾ ॥
niragun karataa saragun karataa ||
The Creator is absolute and without qualities; the Creator is related, with the most excellent qualities.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਮਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾ ॥੨॥੧॥
gur prasaadh naanak samadhirasaTaa ||2||1||
By Guru's Grace, Nanak looks upon all the same. ||2||1||

ਫਾਕਿਓ ਮੀਨ ਕਪਿਕ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ਤੂ ਉਰਝਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਕਸੁੰਭਾਇਲੇ ॥
faakio meen kapik kee niaaiee too urajh rahio kasu(n)bhaile ||
You are caught, like the fish and the monkey; you are entangled in the transitory world.
ਪਗ ਧਾਰਹਿ ਸਾਸੁ ਲੇਖੈ ਲੈ ਤਉ ਉਧਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਲੇ ॥੧॥
pag dhaareh saas lekhai lai tau udhareh har gun gaile ||1||
Your foot-steps and your breaths are numbered; only by singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord will you be saved. ||1||
ਮਨ ਸਮਝੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਆਵਾਇਲੇ ॥
man samajh chhodd aavaile ||
O mind, reform yourself, and forsake your aimless wandering.
ਅਪਨੇ ਰਹਨ ਕਉ ਠਉਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਕਾਏ ਪਰ ਕੈ ਜਾਇਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
apane rahan kau Thaur na paaveh kaae par kai jaile ||1|| rahaau ||
You have found no place of rest for yourself; so why do you try to teach others? ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਉ ਮੈਗਲੁ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਰਸਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਓ ਤੂ ਲਾਗਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਕੁਟੰਬਾਇਲੇ ॥
jiau maigal i(n)dhree ras prerio too laag pario kuTa(n)baile ||
Like the elephant, driven by sexual desire, you are attached to your family.
ਜਿਉ ਪੰਖੀ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਇ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਿਛੁਰੈ ਥਿਰੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਲੇ ॥੨॥
jiau pa(n)khee ikatr hoi fir bichhurai thir sa(n)gat har har dhiaaile ||2||
People are like birds that come together, and fly apart again; you shall become stable and steady, only when you meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, in the Company of the Holy. ||2||
ਜੈਸੇ ਮੀਨੁ ਰਸਨ ਸਾਦਿ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਓਹੁ ਮੂਠੌ ਮੂੜ ਲੋਭਾਇਲੇ ॥
jaise meen rasan saadh binasio oh mooThau mooR lobhaile ||
Like the fish, which perishes because of its desire to taste, the fool is ruined by his greed.
ਤੂ ਹੋਆ ਪੰਚ ਵਾਸਿ ਵੈਰੀ ਕੈ ਛੂਟਹਿ ਪਰੁ ਸਰਨਾਇਲੇ ॥੩॥
too hoaa pa(n)ch vaas vairee kai chhooTeh par saranaile ||3||
You have fallen under the power of the five thieves; escape is only possible in the Sanctuary of the Lord. ||3||
ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਸਭਿ ਤੁਮੑਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤਾਇਲੇ ॥
hoh kirapaal dheen dhukh bha(n)jan sabh tum(h)re jeea ja(n)taile ||
Be Merciful to me, O Destroyer of the pains of the meek; all beings and creatures belong to You.
ਪਾਵਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖਾ ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਦਸਾਇਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
paavau dhaan sadhaa dharas pekhaa mil naanak dhaas dhasaile ||4||2||
May I obtain the gift of always seeing the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; meeting with You, Nanak is the slave of Your slaves. ||4||2||

ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕੀਏ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਜਿ ॥
jeea praan ke'ee jin saaj ||
He fashioned the soul and the breath of life,
ਮਾਟੀ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਖੀ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ॥
maaTee meh jot rakhee nivaaj ||
and infused His Light into the dust;
ਬਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਭੋਜਨ ਭੋਗਾਇ ॥
baratan kau sabh kichh bhojan bhogai ||
He exalted you and gave you everything to use, and food to eat and enjoy
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਜਿ ਮੂੜੇ ਕਤ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
so prabh taj mooRe kat jai ||1||
- how can you forsake that God, you fool! Where else will you go? ||1||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੀ ਲਾਗਉ ਸੇਵ ॥
paarabraham kee laagau sev ||
Commit yourself to the service of the Transcendent Lord.
ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਝੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur te sujhai nira(n)jan dhev ||1|| rahaau ||
Through the Guru, one understands the Immaculate, Divine Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਏ ਰੰਗ ਅਨਿਕ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥
jin ke'ee ra(n)g anik parakaar ||
He created plays and dramas of all sorts;
ਓਪਤਿ ਪਰਲਉ ਨਿਮਖ ਮਝਾਰ ॥
opat paralau nimakh majhaar ||
He creates and destroys in an instant;
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
jaa kee gat mit kahee na jai ||
His state and condition cannot be described.
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥
so prabh man mere sadhaa dhiaai ||2||
Meditate forever on that God, O my mind. ||2||
ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਧਨੀ ॥
aai na jaavai nihachal dhanee ||
The unchanging Lord does not come or go.
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਨਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਕੇਤਕ ਗਨੀ ॥
bea(n)t gunaa taa ke ketak ganee ||
His Glorious Virtues are infinite; how many of them can I count?
