Founded in 2004 and incorporated as a non-profit in New Mexico, the Albuquerque Sikh Gurudwara held its first service on May 8, 2005 at its building on Alvarado Drive, with over 100 attendees. The Gurudwara serves the Sikh community of central New Mexico with weekly worship services, langar, Punjabi language classes, and community events including weddings and holiday celebrations.
