Baoli Sahib in Ambala is a historically significant gurdwara commemorating the visit of Guru Hargobind Sahib, the sixth Sikh Guru, who stayed here on his way to meet Emperor Jahangir in Delhi. The Guru instructed local Sikhs to help villagers dig a step-well (baoli) to address the perennial water scarcity, and the old baoli still exists within the gurdwara complex. Rebuilt by Maharaja Hira Singh of Nabha in the early 20th century, it remains Ambala's premier gurdwara and an important site of Sikh heritage.
