This Gurdwara Sahib serves the Sikh community in Amritsar, the spiritual capital of Sikhism. Amritsar, meaning "Pool of Nectar," was founded by Guru Ram Das in 1577 and became the site of the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), the holiest shrine in Sikhism. Every Gurdwara in Amritsar exists within the living history of the faith — where the Adi Granth was compiled, where the Khalsa was spiritually nourished, and where Sikhs have gathered for over four centuries to worship, serve, and strengthen their community bonds.
