Gurudwara Shahidi Bagh in the Dabat Manjari area near Anandpur Sahib is located at a site steeped in the history of Sikh sacrifice. The gurdwara grounds feature a historic oak tree from the time of Guru Gobind Singh, and the surrounding area from Anandpur Sahib to Bhattha Sahib is hallowed ground where hundreds of Sikhs laid down their lives defending the Guru's fortress city, managed today by the Nihang Sikh warrior order.
