The Sikh Gurdwara San Jose is one of the oldest and most prominent Sikh houses of worship in the United States. Established in 1985, it serves the vibrant Sikh community of Silicon Valley and the greater Bay Area. The gurdwara offers daily prayers, weekly kirtan programs, Punjabi language classes, and a free community kitchen (langar) serving thousands of meals every week. It is an important community hub hosting cultural events, youth programs, and interfaith gatherings. The gurdwara played a key role in the growth of the Sikh community in Northern California.
