About
Sri Gurdwara Singh Sabha in Delhi upholds the legacy of the Singh Sabha movement, which transformed Sikh religious and social life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The movement's leaders — scholars, educators, and community organizers — worked to distinguish Sikh practices from Hindu rituals, promote Gurmukhi literacy, and ensure that gurdwara management remained in the hands of the Sikh community. This Gurdwara provides a space for the Sikh community to gather for worship, kirtan, and the practice of sewa in accordance with the Rehat Maryada (Sikh code of conduct).
