ਸੰਕਟਿ ਨਹੀ ਪਰੈ ਜੋਨਿ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਰੇ ॥
sa(n)kaT nahee parai jon nahee aavai naam nira(n)jan jaa ko re ||
He does not fall into misfortune, and He does not take birth; His Name is the Immaculate Lord.
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਐਸੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਾਈ ਨ ਬਾਪੋ ਰੇ ॥੨॥੧੯॥੭੦॥
kabeer ko suaamee aaiso Thaakur jaa kai maiee na baapo re ||2||19||70||
Kabeer's Lord is such a Lord and Master, who has no mother or father. ||2||19||70||

Slander me, slander me - go ahead, people, and slander me.
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਖਰੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
ni(n)dhaa jan kau kharee piaaree ||
Slander is pleasing to the Lord's humble servant.
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਬਾਪੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਮਹਤਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ni(n)dhaa baap ni(n)dhaa mahataaree ||1|| rahaau ||
Slander is my father, slander is my mother. ||1||Pause||
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
ni(n)dhaa hoi ta baiku(n)Th jaieeaai ||
If I am slandered, I go to heaven;
ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਸਾਈਐ ॥
naam padhaarath maneh basaieeaai ||
the wealth of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides within my mind.
ਰਿਦੈ ਸੁਧ ਜਉ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
ridhai sudh jau ni(n)dhaa hoi ||
If my heart is pure, and I am slandered,
ਹਮਰੇ ਕਪਰੇ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਧੋਇ ॥੧॥
hamare kapare ni(n)dhak dhoi ||1||
then the slanderer washes my clothes. ||1||
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਹਮਰਾ ਮੀਤੁ ॥
ni(n)dhaa karai su hamaraa meet ||
One who slanders me is my friend;
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਾਹਿ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਚੀਤੁ ॥
ni(n)dhak maeh hamaaraa cheet ||
the slanderer is in my thoughts.
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਸੋ ਜੋ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਰੈ ॥
ni(n)dhak so jo ni(n)dhaa horai ||
The slanderer is the one who prevents me from being slandered.
ਹਮਰਾ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਲੋਰੈ ॥੨॥
hamaraa jeevan ni(n)dhak lorai ||2||
The slanderer wishes me long life. ||2||
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਮਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥
ni(n)dhaa hamaree prem piaar ||
I have love and affection for the slanderer.
ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹਮਰਾ ਕਰੈ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥
ni(n)dhaa hamaraa karai udhaar ||
Slander is my salvation.
ਜਨ ਕਬੀਰ ਕਉ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
jan kabeer kau ni(n)dhaa saar ||
Slander is the best thing for servant Kabeer.
ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਡੂਬਾ ਹਮ ਉਤਰੇ ਪਾਰਿ ॥੩॥੨੦॥੭੧॥
ni(n)dhak ddoobaa ham utare paar ||3||20||71||
The slanderer is drowned, while I am carried across. ||3||20||71||
ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮ ਤੂੰ ਐਸਾ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raajaa raam too(n) aaisaa nirabhau taran taaran raam raiaa ||1|| rahaau ||
O my Sovereign Lord King, You are Fearless; You are the Carrier to carry us across, O my Lord King. ||1||Pause||
ਜਬ ਹਮ ਹੋਤੇ ਤਬ ਤੁਮ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਬ ਤੁਮ ਹਹੁ ਹਮ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
jab ham hote tab tum naahee ab tum hahu ham naahee ||
When I was, then You were not; now that You are, I am not.
ਅਬ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਏਕ ਭਏ ਹਹਿ ਏਕੈ ਦੇਖਤ ਮਨੁ ਪਤੀਆਹੀ ॥੧॥
ab ham tum ek bhe heh ekai dhekhat man pateeaahee ||1||
Now, You and I have become one; seeing this, my mind is content. ||1||
ਜਬ ਬੁਧਿ ਹੋਤੀ ਤਬ ਬਲੁ ਕੈਸਾ ਅਬ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਲੁ ਨ ਖਟਾਈ ॥
jab budh hotee tab bal kaisaa ab budh bal na khaTaiee ||
When there was wisdom, how could there be strength? Now that there is wisdom, strength cannot prevail.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਬੁਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਦਲੀ ਸਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥੨੧॥੭੨॥
keh kabeer budh har liee meree budh badhalee sidh paiee ||2||21||72||
Says Kabeer, the Lord has taken away my wisdom, and I have attained spiritual perfection. ||2||21||72||

ਖਟ ਨੇਮ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਬਾਂਧੀ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ਬੀਚ ਪਾਈ ॥
khaT nem kar koThaRee baa(n)dhee basat anoop beech paiee ||
He fashioned the body chamber with six rings, and placed within it the incomparable thing.
ਕੁੰਜੀ ਕੁਲਫੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਕਰਤੇ ਬਾਰ ਨ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥
ku(n)jee kulaf praan kar raakhe karate baar na laiee ||1||
He made the breath of life the watchman, with lock and key to protect it; the Creator did this in no time at all. ||1||
ਅਬ ਮਨ ਜਾਗਤ ਰਹੁ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
ab man jaagat rahu re bhaiee ||
Keep your mind awake and aware now, O Sibling of Destiny.
ਗਾਫਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਓ ਚੋਰੁ ਮੁਸੈ ਘਰੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gaafal hoi kai janam gavaio chor musai ghar jaiee ||1|| rahaau ||
You were careless, and you have wasted your life; your home is being plundered by thieves. ||1||Pause||
ਪੰਚ ਪਹਰੂਆ ਦਰ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਪਤੀਆਰਾ ॥
pa(n)ch paharooaa dhar meh rahate tin kaa nahee pateeaaraa ||
The five senses stand as guards at the gate, but now can they be trusted?
ਚੇਤਿ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਚਿਤ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੁ ਤਉ ਲੈ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਉਜਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
chet suchet chit hoi rahu tau lai paragaas ujaaraa ||2||
When you are conscious in your consciousness, you shall be enlightened and illuminated. ||2||
ਨਉ ਘਰ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੁ ਕਾਮਨਿ ਭੂਲੀ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਨੂਪ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
nau ghar dhekh ju kaaman bhoolee basat anoop na paiee ||
Seeing the nine openings of the body, the soul-bride is led astray; she does not obtain that incomparable thing.
ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਵੈ ਘਰ ਮੂਸੇ ਦਸਵੈਂ ਤਤੁ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੩॥੨੨॥੭੩॥
kahat kabeer navai ghar moose dhasavai(n) tat samaiee ||3||22||73||
Says Kabeer, the nine openings of the body are being plundered; rise up to the Tenth Gate, and discover the true essence. ||3||22||73||

ਮਾਈ ਮੋਹਿ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਓ ਆਨਾਨਾਂ ॥
maiee moh avar na jaanio aanaanaa(n) ||
O mother, I do not know any other, except Him.
ਸਿਵ ਸਨਕਾਦਿ ਜਾਸੁ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਤਾਸੁ ਬਸਹਿ ਮੋਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਾਨਾਂ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
siv sanakaadh jaas gun gaaveh taas baseh more praanaanaa(n) || rahaau ||
My breath of life resides in Him, whose praises are sung by Shiva and Sanak and so many others. ||Pause||
ਹਿਰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੁਰ ਗੰਮਿਤ ਗਗਨ ਮੰਡਲ ਮਹਿ ਧਿਆਨਾਨਾਂ ॥
hiradhe pragaas giaan gur ga(n)mit gagan ma(n)ddal meh dhiaanaanaa(n) ||
My heart is illuminated by spiritual wisdom; meeting the Guru, I meditate in the Sky of the Tenth Gate.
ਬਿਖੈ ਰੋਗ ਭੈ ਬੰਧਨ ਭਾਗੇ ਮਨ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਾਨਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
bikhai rog bhai ba(n)dhan bhaage man nij ghar sukh jaanaanaa ||1||
The diseases of corruption, fear and bondage have run away; my mind has come to know peace in its own true home. ||1||
ਏਕ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਰਤਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੂਸਰ ਮਨਹਿ ਨ ਆਨਾਨਾ ॥
ek sumat rat jaan maan prabh dhoosar maneh na aanaanaa ||
Imbued with a balanced single-mindedness, I know and obey God; nothing else enters my mind.
ਚੰਦਨ ਬਾਸੁ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਬਾਸਨ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਘਟਿਓ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
cha(n)dhan baas bhe man baasan tiaag ghaTio abhimaanaanaa ||2||
My mind has become fragrant with the scent of sandalwood; I have renounced egotistical selfishness and conceit. ||2||
ਜੋ ਜਨ ਗਾਇ ਧਿਆਇ ਜਸੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤਾਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ ਥਾਨਾਨਾਂ ॥
jo jan gai dhiaai jas Thaakur taas prabhoo hai thaanaanaa(n) ||
That humble being, who sings and meditates on the Praises of his Lord and Master, is the dwelling-place of God.
ਤਿਹ ਬਡ ਭਾਗ ਬਸਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮਥਾਨਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
teh badd bhaag basio man jaa kai karam pradhaan mathaanaanaa ||3||
He is blessed with great good fortune; the Lord abides in his mind. Good karma radiates from his forehead. ||3||
ਕਾਟਿ ਸਕਤਿ ਸਿਵ ਸਹਜੁ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਿਓ ਏਕੈ ਏਕ ਸਮਾਨਾਨਾ ॥
kaaT sakat siv sahaj pragaasio ekai ek samaanaanaa ||
I have broken the bonds of Maya; the intuitive peace and poise of Shiva has dawned within me, and I am merged in oneness with the One.
