ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ਜਿਥੈ ਹਉ ਜਾਈ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
too(n) sabhanee thaiee jithai hau jaiee saachaa sirajanahaar jeeau ||
You are everywhere, wherever I go, O True Creator Lord.
ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
sabhanaa kaa dhaataa karam bidhaataa dhookh bisaaranahaar jeeau ||
You are the Giver of all, the Architect of Destiny, the Dispeller of distress.
ਦੂਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
dhookh bisaaranahaar suaamee keetaa jaa kaa hovai ||
The Lord Master is the Dispeller of distress; all that happens is by His doing.
ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟੰਤਰ ਪਾਪਾ ਕੇਰੇ ਏਕ ਘੜੀ ਮਹਿ ਖੋਵੈ ॥
koT koTa(n)tar paapaa kere ek ghaRee meh khovai ||
Millions upon millions of sins, He destroys in an instant.
ਹੰਸ ਸਿ ਹੰਸਾ ਬਗ ਸਿ ਬਗਾ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਕਰੇ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
ha(n)s s ha(n)saa bag s bagaa ghaT ghaT kare beechaar jeeau ||
He calls a swan a swan, and a crane a crane; He contemplates each and every heart.
ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ਜਿਥੈ ਹਉ ਜਾਈ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
too(n) sabhanee thaiee jithai hau jaiee saachaa sirajanahaar jeeau ||1||

ਜਿਨੑ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨੑ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
jin(h) ik man dhiaaiaa tin(h) sukh paiaa te virale sa(n)saar jeeau ||
Those who meditate on Him single-mindedly obtain peace; how rare are they in this world.
ਤਿਨ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਆਵਹਿ ਹਾਰਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
tin jam neR na aavai gur sabadh kamaavai kabahu na aaveh haar jeeau ||
The Messenger of Death does not draw near those who live the Guru's Teachings; they never return defeated.
ਤੇ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਹਾਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਰਹਿ ਤਿਨੑ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
te kabahu na haareh har har gun saareh tin(h) jam neR na aavai ||
Those who appreciate the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, never suffer defeat; the Messenger of Death does not even approach them.
ਜੰਮਣੁ ਮਰਣੁ ਤਿਨੑਾ ਕਾ ਚੂਕਾ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
ja(n)man maran tin(h)aa kaa chookaa jo har laage paavai ||
Birth and death are ended for those who are attached to the feet of the Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
gurmat har ras har fal paiaa har har naam ur dhaar jeeau ||
Through the Guru's Teachings, they obtain the sublime essence of the Lord, and the fruit of the Lord; they enshrine the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in their hearts.
ਜਿਨੑ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨੑ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
jin(h) ik man dhiaaiaa tin(h) sukh paiaa te virale sa(n)saar jeeau ||2||
Those who meditate on Him single-mindedly obtain peace; how rare are they in this world. ||2||
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਧੰਧੈ ਲਾਇਆ ਤਿਸੈ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
jin jagat upaiaa dha(n)dhai laiaa tisai viTahu kurabaan jeeau ||
He who created the world and assigned all to their tasks - unto Him I am a sacrifice.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀਜੈ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੀਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਾਣੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
taa kee sev kareejai laahaa leejai har dharageh paieeaai maan jeeau ||
So serve Him, and gather profit, and you shall obtain honor in the Court of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੁ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਜੋ ਨਰੁ ਏਕੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥
har dharageh maan soiee jan paavai jo nar ek pachhaanai ||
That humble being, who recognizes the One Lord alone, obtains honor in the Court of the Lord.
ਓਹੁ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਣੈ ॥
oh nav nidh paavai gurmat har dhiaavai nit har gun aakh vakhaanai ||
One who meditates on the Lord, through the Guru's Teachings, obtains the nine treasures; he chants and repeats continually the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਕਾ ਲੀਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਊਤਮੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਰਧਾਨੁ ਜੀਉ ॥
ahinis naam tisai kaa leejai har uootam purakh paradhaan jeeau ||
Day and night, take the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the most sublime Primal Being.
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਧੰਧੈ ਲਾਇਆ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੈ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
jin jagat upaiaa dha(n)dhai laiaa hau tisai viTahu kurabaan jeeau ||3||
The One who created the world and assigned all to their tasks - I am a sacrifice to Him. ||3||
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਨਿ ਸਿ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਸੇ ਜਿਣਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
naam lain s soheh tin sukh fal hoveh maaneh se jin jaeh jeeau ||
Those who chant the Naam look beautiful; they obtain the fruit of peace. Those who believe in the Name win the game of life.
ਤਿਨ ਫਲ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਜੇ ਜੁਗ ਕੇਤੇ ਜਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
tin fal toT na aavai jaa tis bhaavai je jug kete jaeh jeeau ||
Their blessings are not exhausted, if it pleases the Lord, even though numerous ages may pass.
ਜੇ ਜੁਗ ਕੇਤੇ ਜਾਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਫਲ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
je jug kete jaeh suaamee tin fal toT na aavai ||
Even though numerous ages may pass, O Lord Master, their blessings are not exhausted.
ਤਿਨੑ ਜਰਾ ਨ ਮਰਣਾ ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਪਰਣਾ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥
tin(h) jaraa na maranaa narak na paranaa jo har naam dhiaavai ||
They do not age, they do not die and fall into hell, if they meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸਿ ਸੂਕਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੀੜ ਨ ਖਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥
har har kareh s sookeh naahee naanak peeR na khaeh jeeau ||
Those who chant the Lord's Name, Har, Har, do not wither, O Nanak; they are not afflicted by pain.
ਨਾਮੁ ਲੈਨਿੑ ਸਿ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਤਿਨੑ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਸੇ ਜਿਣਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧॥੪॥

ਤੂੰ ਸੁਣਿ ਹਰਣਾ ਕਾਲਿਆ ਕੀ ਵਾੜੀਐ ਰਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
too(n) sun haranaa kaaliaa kee vaaReeaai raataa raam ||
Listen, O black deer: why are you so attached to the orchard of passion?
ਬਿਖੁ ਫਲੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਚਾਰਿ ਦਿਨ ਫਿਰਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ॥
bikh fal meeThaa chaar dhin fir hovai taataa raam ||
The fruit of sin is sweet for only a few days, and then it grows hot and bitter.
ਫਿਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਤਾਤਾ ਖਰਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਰਤਾਪਏ ॥
fir hoi taataa kharaa maataa naam bin parataape ||
That fruit which intoxicated you has now become bitter and painful, without the Naam.
