ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਜਗਤ ਮਹਿ ਸਫਲ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥
jai jai kaar jagat meh safal jaa kee sev ||1||
God is celebrated and acclaimed all over the world; it is fruitful and rewarding to serve Him. ||1||
ਊਚ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਗਨਤ ਹਰਿ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਾਥਿ ॥
uooch apaar aganat har sabh jeea jis haath ||
Lofty, infinite and immeasurable is the Lord; all beings are in His Hands.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਾਥਿ ॥੨॥੧੦॥੭੪॥
naanak prabh saranaagatee jat kat merai saath ||2||10||74||
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of God; He is with me everywhere. ||2||10||74||
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehla:
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥
gur pooraa aaraadhiaa hoe kirapaal ||
I worship the Perfect Guru in adoration; He has become merciful to me.
ਮਾਰਗੁ ਸੰਤਿ ਬਤਾਇਆ ਤੂਟੇ ਜਮ ਜਾਲ ॥੧॥
maarag sa(n)t bataiaa tooTe jam jaal ||1||
The Saint has shown me the Way, and the noose of Death has been cut away. ||1||
ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਸੰਸਾ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਗਾਵਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮ ॥
dhookh bhookh sa(n)saa miTiaa gaavat prabh naam ||
Pain, hunger and scepticism have been dispelled, singing the Name of God.
ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਰਸ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sahaj sookh aana(n)dh ras pooran sabh kaam ||1|| rahaau ||
I am blessed with celestial peace, poise, bliss and pleasure, and all my affairs have been perfectly resolved. ||1||Pause||
ਜਲਨਿ ਬੁਝੀ ਸੀਤਲ ਭਏ ਰਾਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪ ॥
jalan bujhee seetal bhe raakhe prabh aap ||
The fire of desire has been quenched, and I am cooled and soothed; God Himself saved me.
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੭੫॥
naanak prabh saranaagatee jaa kaa vadd parataap ||2||11||75||
Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of God; His glorious radiance is so great! ||2||11||75||

ਧਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸਫਲ ਥਾਨੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਏ ਕਾਮ ॥
dharat suhaavee safal thaan pooran bhe kaam ||
The earth is beautified, all places are fruitful, and my affairs are perfectly resolved.
ਭਉ ਨਾਠਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ਰਵਿਆ ਨਿਤ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
bhau naaThaa bhram miT giaa raviaa nit raam ||1||
Fear runs away, and doubt is dispelled, dwelling constantly upon the Lord. ||1||
ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਤ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥
saadh janaa kai sa(n)g basat sukh sahaj bisraam ||
Dwelling with the humble Holy people, one finds peace, poise and tranquility.
ਸਾਈ ਘੜੀ ਸੁਲਖਣੀ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saiee ghaRee sulakhanee simarat har naam ||1|| rahaau ||
Blessed and auspicious is that time, when one meditates in remembrance on the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||
ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਭਏ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮਹਿ ਫਿਰਤੇ ਪਹਨਾਮ ॥
pragaT bhe sa(n)saar meh firate pahanaam ||
They have become famous throughout the world; before this, no one even knew their names.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਸਭ ਜਾਨ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੭੬॥
naanak tis saranaagatee ghaT ghaT sabh jaan ||2||12||76||
Nanak has come to the Sanctuary of the One who knows each and every heart. ||2||12||76||

ਰੋਗੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਂਤਿ ॥
rog miTaiaa aap prabh upajiaa sukh saa(n)t ||
God Himself eradicated the disease; peace and tranquility have welled up.
ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ਅਚਰਜ ਰੂਪੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਨੑੀ ਦਾਤਿ ॥੧॥
vadd parataap acharaj roop har keen(h)ee dhaat ||1||
The Lord blessed me with the gifts of great, glorious radiance and wondrous form. ||1||
ਗੁਰਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਈ ॥
gur govi(n)dh kirapaa karee raakhiaa meraa bhaiee ||
The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, has shown mercy to me, and saved my brother.
ਹਮ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ham tis kee saranaagatee jo sadhaa sahaiee ||1|| rahaau ||
I am under His Protection; He is always my help and support. ||1||Pause||
ਬਿਰਥੀ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
birathee kadhe na hoviee jan kee aradhaas ||
The prayer of the Lord's humble servant is never offered in vain.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋਰੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਿ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੭੭॥
naanak jor govi(n)dh kaa pooran gunataas ||2||13||77||
Nanak takes the strength of the Perfect Lord of the Universe, the treasure of excellence. ||2||13||77||

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehla:
ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮੇ ਜਿਨ ਬਿਸਰਿਆ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥
mar mar janame jin bisariaa jeevan kaa dhaataa ||
Those who forget the Giver of life, die, over and over again, only to be reborn and die.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
paarabraham jan seviaa anadhin ra(n)g raataa ||1||
The humble servant of the Supreme Lord God serves Him; night and day, he remains imbued with His Love. ||1||
ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜੁ ਆਨਦੁ ਘਨਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਆਸ ॥
saa(n)t sahaj aanadh ghanaa pooran bhiee aas ||
I have found peace, tranquility and great ecstasy; my hopes have been fulfilled.
ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sukh paiaa har saadhasa(n)g simarat gunataas ||1|| rahaau ||
I have found peace in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; I meditate in remembrance on the Lord, the treasure of virtue. ||1||Pause||
ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਜਨ ਤੁਮੑ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
sun suaamee aradhaas jan tum(h) a(n)tarajaamee ||
O my Lord and Master, please listen to the prayer of Your humble servant; You are the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥੨॥੧੪॥੭੮॥
thaan thana(n)tar rav rahe naanak ke suaamee ||2||14||78||
Nanak's Lord and Master is permeating and pervading all places and interspaces. ||2||14||78||
ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehla:
ਤਾਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥
taatee vaau na lagiee paarabraham saranaiee ||
The hot wind does not even touch one who is under the Protection of the Supreme Lord God.
ਚਉਗਿਰਦ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਾਰ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥
chaugiradh hamaarai raam kaar dhukh lagai na bhaiee ||1||
On all four sides I am surrounded by the Lord's Circle of Protection; pain does not afflict me, O Siblings of Destiny. ||1||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥
satigur pooraa bheTiaa jin banat banaiee ||
I have met the Perfect True Guru, who has done this deed.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਦੀਆ ਏਕਾ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raam naam aaukhadh dheeaa ekaa liv laiee ||1|| rahaau ||
He has given me the medicine of the Lord's Name, and I enshrine love for the One Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਏ ਤਿਨਿ ਰਖਨਹਾਰਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਆਧਿ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥
raakh le'ee tin rakhanahaar sabh biaadh miTaiee ||
The Savior Lord has saved me, and eradicated all my sickness.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੭੯॥
kahu naanak kirapaa bhiee prabh bhe sahaiee ||2||15||79||
Says Nanak, God has showered me with His Mercy; He has become my help and support. ||2||15||79||

apane baalak aap rakhian paarabraham gurdhev ||
The Supreme Lord God, through the Divine Guru, has Himself protected and preserved His children.
ਸੁਖ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਆਨਦ ਭਏ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sukh saa(n)t sahaj aanadh bhe pooran bhiee sev ||1|| rahaau ||
Celestial peace, tranquility and bliss have come to pass; my service has been perfect. ||1||Pause||
