Guru Gobind Singh Ji
Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru, was born in 1666 at Patna Sahib. At Vaisakhi 1699 at Anandpur Sahib he called for five Sikhs willing to give their heads — the Panj Pyaare — and created the Khalsa.

Life
Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru, was born in 1666 at Patna Sahib. At Vaisakhi 1699 at Anandpur Sahib he called for five Sikhs willing to give their heads — the Panj Pyaare — and created the Khalsa.
He gave initiated Sikhs the Five Ks, lost his four sons (the Sahibzade) in the wars that followed, compiled the final recension of the Granth, and declared Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji the Guru after him. There is no eleventh human Guru on this site.
Contributions
- Established the Khalsa Panth at Vaisakhi 1699 with the first five initiated Sikhs (the Panj Pyaare).
- Gave Sikhs the five articles of faith (Five K's): Kesh, Kangha, Kara, Kachhera, Kirpan.
- Lost his four sons (the Sahibzaday) defending Sikhi.
- Compiled the final edition of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and declared it the eternal Guru of the Sikhs.
