Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not a human Guru. Guru Arjan Dev Ji compiled the Adi Granth; Guru Gobind Singh Ji added the hymns of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and, in 1708, named the Granth the Guru after him.

Life

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not a human Guru. Guru Arjan Dev Ji compiled the Adi Granth; Guru Gobind Singh Ji added the hymns of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and, in 1708, named the Granth the Guru after him.

The volume includes the Gurus’ bani and the hymns of bhagats from several backgrounds. A gurdwara’s prakash and hukamnama are taken from this Granth. This site does not invent a page count other than the 1,430 printed angs of the standard recension.
