Life
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru, is remembered for giving his life so others could keep their faith. He was executed in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, in 1675 after refusing to convert to Islam.
Sikh tradition holds that he stood for Kashmiri Pandits facing forced conversion under Aurangzeb. That shaheedi is a Sikh teaching on religious freedom — not a call to rate or rank clergy.
